West Michigan, deep in Whitebread, USA

I'm looking for a good group of folks in West Michigan who love miniatures games of all types. Specifically near Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo.

For two decades now it seems like I am in an absolute dead zone of miniatures gaming. After years of painting hundreds of minis for 40k, WH fantasy, etc, I am finding it increasingly difficult to keep my hobby mojo flowing with noone to be involved with other than my wife and a close friend or two that will game with me, but not be interested in making any armies of their own, forcing me to paint double the forces first to get anything on the table.

Without that regular urge to do my best to show off and compete with other's cool ideas, it's just really taxing on me lately to complete all the crazy, fun ideas I come up with. The ability to show up to a group and be able to go "hey, guys-check out these Stormcast Eternals I painted up to count-as an Ogre army in our Kings of War games"" would really be a good way to keep me motivated in my favorite hobby.

Right now if I was involved in a campaign, it'd have about 4 armies, all from my collection, lol.

I love X-Wing, 40k (though as a hobby-first guy I am way behind on editions), fantasy skirmish games like Song of Blades and Heroes, etc. Hell, I even have four Necromunda games and two Battlefleet Gothic fleets!

Would be so cool to find a gaming scene that does not require me to be the sole driving force for it to exist, right?

"By this point I'm convinced 100% that every single race in the 40k universe have somehow tapped into the ork ability to just have their tech work because they think it should."
