Does anybody know how many points of Chaos and Dark Angels are in the Dark Vengeance set?
Also, does anybody know what paints are needed?

I asked the same question about points a few months ago. Here's my previous thread:

(spoiler: the deck is stacked against Chaos )

I would like to add that you will want to convert the Chosen into something else (in most cases this will reduce their point cost). Their loadout is absolute crap for what you pay for.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

For paint I would suggest whatever colors you want unless you want to make them actual dark angels vs a successor chapter (means you get to call your army "the unforgiven" which is sort of cool plus you get to choose the colors! win win. as for the chaos depends on which demon you want the army I suggest Khorne or nurgle, but would be neat to see slaanesh or tzeench

Thanks guys. Also, is it possible to use the Dark Angels as Fallen Angels in other games, thus combining the two armies into one big CSM army?

Check with your opponent first. If your opponent is OK with proxying, then sure go for it!

For the paint colors:
GW actually posted several YouTube videos showing how to paint the models in the box set, along with what paints they used in the video. Here are a few links:

There is no checking with your opponent first. Yes you can do it. Anyone who says other wise is a Richard. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY cant tell you how to play with your plastic toy soldier man dollies.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

1000x this. I have a ton of marines and while they are rarely played they might be blood angels one game, and space wolves the next. granted I paint them mostly non standard colors, and while I have a few army specific units (like the dark vengence box having the robes etc. or space wolf models I like plus sanguinary guard and death company painted correctly) I will include and run these right along side pink hello kitty marines or teal aquamarines and they are using the ultra marines rules because why not. if the opponent is bitching about this type of thing then they are not going to be fun to play at all so no skin off my teeth if they refuse.

Yea I don't care what faction of MEQ you want to play as long as the weapon options are correct/consistent in the case of custom conversions.
