Storm Trooper with Maglight

I recently picked up the Mont'Ka books.
I have a couple of questions.
1. Can I run multiple formations in the same list?
I would like to run the Emperors Blade and the Emperors Fist formations together.
2. When running those formations, can I bring in other elements from the AM/IG codex, such as a flier?
I want to add in a Vulture to provide some air support.
Thanks gang

You can take as many formations as you can fit into your points. Or as many detachments. As long as everything you take has filled all of it’s mandatory requirements.
If you want to bring something that’s not in a formation, you can also take a CAD. Just be sure you get your HQ + 2 Troops.

So if I want to run the Blade and Fist with a Vulture, I would need a 3rd command unit and its troops in order to take the Vulture?

Or go with that super dirty word. Unbound. Formations still get their benefits in an Unbound army, but Detachments like a CAD do not. But, it's an easy way to throw in some extra units if you want some in a pure Formation army.

If it isn't in the formation, then yes you would need to take another formation that has it or just take a CAD in order to bring that unit, unless you want to go unbound. It's all in the rulebook.
