I started painting my clan rats and since I am going to ally them with Undead for KoW and AoS I wanted to do the fur/skin kind of sickly. I painted the skin fir a base of necrotic flesh by army painter but just realized that the skin and fur are seperate. I painted them as one. I highlighted with a brown wash but then realized that green is probably a Better choice. What kind of ideas would you recommend to pull this off?

I don't have color recommendations, but I do have story recommendations.

Your Clan Pestilence Skaven causes diseases that result in the dead bodies that your Necromancer raises.

The undead army borrows warpstone from the Skaven to use in their necromancy spells.

Clan Skyre is providing technology to aid the Undead army in creating zombies (i.e. Frankenstein).

Clan Eshin is receiving training in infiltration from the Undead army's vampires.

If you used necrotic flesh I would throw Athonian Camoshade over it (green shade). Once thats dry in all the deep recesses use Agrax Earthshade (brownish/black shade).

If you are going to layer from there (I probably wouldn't since they are just clan rats) I would use Nurgling green.

if you they want it to pop bright like a poison feel use Screaming Skull after that with a layer of Lamenter's Yellow Glaze (50/50 mixed with water).

All that said thats quite a process to use just for clan rats if you are going to run a lot of them.
