Before I buy all the vehicles for my battle company trying to decide either drop pods or razorbacks mostly have a ultramarines army but will be running it as white scars or maybe even a made up chapter whats the most competitive way to run battle company

Both have advantages.
Drop pods get you camped on all the objectives turn one. Good for maelstrom.
Razors are free firepower. Slightly less free once you upgrade all the TLHBs, but still, guns.
For a full company list, I think razors might be generally better, but depends a lot on the missions and scoring.

I'm probably going to go half-half, with melta squads in the pods for vehicles/MC's, and just bolters in the razorbacks (maybe heavy bolters, as I run IF chapter tactics).
I'm running bikes in the FA slot as my CM is mounted (I know this is contentious rules wise, but I see the CM as an upgrade for Captain...)
Probably run some centurions and a lascannon dev squad in the HS slot. Scouts as auxiliary, and then tack on the storm talon formation from Kauyon.

For White Scars (with Khan) Razorbacks are an awefull choice!
Heavy Bolter is an overall lackluster weapon and upgrading is expensive and a single weapon destroyed result renders the vehicle completely useless.
You would want mostly Rhinos simply for the fire hatch in combination with Gravcannon Tacticals / Devastators sitting inside and then some Drop Pods for objective grabbing
Pregame scout move those Rhinos midfield to makes up for the biggest disadvantage of Gravcannons (limited range)
My 1850p GSF with full Battle Company has 8 Rhinos (6 for Tactical Squads and 2 for Devastator Squads) and 3 Drop Pods (2 for Assault Squads and another empty pod for my Bike Commando Squad just for having an odd number).
Additionally I field 3 Whirlwinds and a Landspeeder from the Suppression Force for a grand total of 15 vehicles... The only non vehicle unit is that Bike Commando Squad with Khan.
10 Gravcannons and 5 Bike mounted Gravguns (with Hunters Eye) do really hurt most enemies...
Orks are mostly immun to massed Grav but also struggle with killing all your vehicles. Same goes for Dark Eldar and small bug Tyranid opponents. Big bug Tyranids are highly vulnerable to Grav like most other enemies. The only army which really gets you into trouble are Deamons.

AssBacks work great with Khan-enabled Scars, but if I had a choice, I'd go with Drop Pods, because outside of running a GSF Battle Co, I wouldn't touch Razorbacks with a 10 foot pole...

I personally like a mix of rhinos and drop pods, it seems to be the most versatile from the dozen games I've seen it played. Devs and some tacticals in rhinos, assault and some tacticals in drop pods.
At the same time, I was slightly impressed with the 2 games I've seen all razorbacks run. They did spend the points to give them all lascannons, and 10 TL lascannons are nothing to scoff at. Theoretically take down a knight in 2 turns if you position so that it can't use a shield against all of them. The downside is that they do suck a bit if you move them forward too much, so while I do like them in theory I've only seen them do average on the table.
