Hello! I am trying to make use of the Militarum Tempestus Airborne Assault Formation and give it ground support by way of the Iron Hands. I'm hoping to get some pointers to improve the list. Assuming the whole idea isn't a total failure and should be scrapped. Airborne Assault Formation Commissar Stock 25pts -Command Squad [Vox, Melta 3x] 120pts --Valkyrie [Rocket Pod] 135pts Scions 10man [Vox, Melta 2x] 155pts -Valkyrie [Rocket Pod] 135pts Scions 10man [Vox, Melta 2x] 155pts -Valkyrie [Rocket Pod] 135pts Scions 10man [Vox, Flamer 2x] 145pts -Valkyrie [Rocket Pod] 135pts Formation Total: 1140pts Iron Hands CAD HQ Tech Marine Stock 65pts Troops Tactical Marines 5x 75pts -Razorback + Assault Cannon 75pts Tactical Marines 5x 75pts -Razorback + Assault Cannon 75pts Tactical Marines 5x 75pts -Razorback + Assault Cannon 75pts Heavy Support Centurion Devs 3[Grav+Amp 3x] 240pts Thunderfire Cannon 100 pts CAD 855pts Grand Total 1995pts As it stands I think I can combat armor and hordes fairly well and I have a ton of ap3 shots for MEQs, I'm just not sure what to do for anti-air. My current plan is to use the Tempestus forces to bring the fight to the enemy and hopefully remove some valuable targets with melta. With long range support from centurions and the Thunderfire while the marines in razorbacks go for objectives. The techmarine just rides in one of the razors to help repair. I want to keep the Airborne Assault Formation (maybe alter numbers of troops/equipment if necessary?) just because I think it's pretty cool, but I am open to swapping out anything brought by the Space Marines. If it will help balance out the list. Thanks for taking a look!
