I wasn't sure where to put this, but I have started my Tau collection. With having a suit heavy army in mind. My quick noob question is, is there still a way to have a cad And have crisis suits as troops? I know I can use the dawnblade or a retaliation cadre. I'm just curious if there is anyway to have it just a simple cad. Thank you anyone who can answer this for me, I have heard different answers so I posted it here to see what people would say.

Farsight Enclaves have the "Battlesuit Spearhead" rule (Mont'ka pg 196) which allows you to treat XV-8 Crisis suits as troops. So go go team Red

the softcover farsight enclaves is arguably superior. Unless you want a riptide wing, access to both factions sig systems (and crisis troops) wins it for me.

The Farsight Enclave rules state that you can basically just SAY your Army is Farsight Enclave in its CAD. And the requirement on them at that point it bonding knives. But aside from that you now get lots of access to cool toys and stuff from the Mont'Ka book so that does not suck.

And of course the Crisis teams become Troops and in a CAD, troops get Objective Secured. So. Winning!

Thanks everyone! Exactly what I needed, guess I'll get another book for tau;D hahah. But I'm happy, I've been painting nothing but suits for an escalation league and this week someone told me it wasn't a thing anymore so I wanted to make sure. Just need that book now thanks again.
