So here's an interesting list a few of us ork lovers came up with. It incorporates the Pile On the Pain rule from the Starter set (since the rule is based on a set model requirement and not a formation) you could use this in any list you have, but this is our list for now. Once I get my hands on some deffkoptas I'll give it a shot.
CAD:
Painboy: Bike, Bosspole
Warboss: Da Finkin Cap, PK, Bike, WL
Nobz: Bike, 10x all have PKs, Waaagh Banner
Boyz: 11x, Boss nob w/ PK
Gretchin
Warbuggies: Skorcha 3x
CAD 2:
Painboy: Bike, Bosspole
Warboss: Attack Squig, Da Lucky Stikk, PK
Gretchin
Gretchin
Deffkoptas: 5x, all are TL Rokkit Launchas w/ Buzzsaw
Deff Dread: grot riggers, extra armour, 2x rokkit launcha
So the first CAD go together for painboy, warboss and nobs. That is a huge powerhouse you need to turbo boost across the battlefield as fast as possible. The second painboy with warboss go with deffkoptas as another killing force to deal with. The deff dread does his thing, but the gretchin and boys you can have start in reserve along with the warbuggies. The Pile on the Pain rule really shines you need to take down a wraithknight or imp knight, something big and really dangerous. So you charge in and lock in combat with the nobs. They will survive the hits, and the stomps. But the next turn you declare a pile on the pain ability, and in that movement phase, now you can finish that fight off with the rest of the pks! The warbuggies have a nice little punch towards the mid game with those flamers and can bounce around, and the gretchin come in later to secure those objs. Let me know what you think or what other lists you guys have come up with around Pile on the Pain rule!!

Man, as a competitive ork player, you should never run nobz bikers with ALL power klaws... Its way too expensive... Try this guy : Zadsnack ! If you look at his rules, he gives you a 2+ jink save, hes a beast in CC and bikers goes in troops slot ! Then, you field a pain boy on bike and a big mek on bike with 5++ or 4++ so you can protect your bikers versus anything that ignore cover saves ( like the damn taus ). You should also add a warboss with the luckystick so you can tank a few more and the squad gets +1 WS . Always think bout the lootas to hold objectives on your side, these guys are really effective ! My personnal favorite choice is the big mek stompa 400 pts and its nearly unkillable ! Have fun mate !!!

As a competitive ork player also, I already run Zhadsnark and Big Mek Stompa. This isn't for competitive play but for others to see Pile in the Pain rule in action. Sorry but I feel as if you didn't even try reading what I wrote in my OP.

Your "deathstar" is nearly 1000 points for nothing better than a 4+ save and FnP on 12 models. not to mention you are hoping to destroy a 375-425pt IK with a 1000 pt unit using a one time special rule. It seems seriously situational and incredibly over costed.

That's the point of the list, trying to use that one time special rule. @ tenzilla, this whole list is very situational and incredibly over costed, but its warhammer, its fun to do this.

Even vs a knight you wouldn't need that many klaws. If you drop 4 klaws you could bring mek gunz or something to help round out the list. Flyers could cause problems if your deffkoptas are stuck in cc with something.

@Tommy
Thank you for the input, yeah I haven't tried this out yet but I'm sure it'll have weaknesses like any list. I always ignore fliers, but thats my play style. Yeah I do like lobbas, I've been using those for gap fillers in my test lists and have always found they always contribute like Tankbustas.

I'm confused, is this a hypothetical?
The "Pile on Da Pain" rule only applies to the Painmob formation, which your list doesn't include. Is this a "What if.." Situation?
