I'm writing a list for my games my friends and I will be competing in. There are a few players. No vile lists. No eldar, no tau (at the moment) and no necrons. It's quite refreshing. So I'm trying to write a fun and fluffy list to play against them with. We are also forging a kind of narrative around and. And I want my chaos Lord to be a boss. To that end, I'm trying to find points for the blood forged armour for him. But I'm struggling. See what you can do to help. I'm prepared to make changes to some things.

Here's my list so far -

Slaughtercult

Chaos Lord - Sigil, axe of Khorne (really want blood forged for eternal warrior and FnP then he can move to the CAD as he'll have FnP perminantly)
Possessed - 5x Possessed
Bezerkers - 8x bezerkers, champ with lightning claw
Bloodletters - Instrument, champ, banner (hopes to bring in warp talons for no scatter blind tests)

Aux - Maulerfiend with lashers
Aux - Maulerfiend with magmas

Lord of slaughter - Bloodthirster of unfettered fury.

Combined arms detachment

HQ - Daemon Prince, wings, Goredrinker (really works hard for me)

Troops - 8x cultists, shotgun
Troops - 8x cultists

Fast attack - 5x Warp Talons

Heavy Support - Land raider (For Lord and his either bezerkers or possessed.

So, I'd like to find 50 points. But I don't know where from.

The basic idea of the army - the Lord will pick his retinue and get in the raider. The other unit footslogging behind. The cultists will either be objective campers, or more likely walking meat shields for the other units. The Maulers can cover the flanks or pair up and chase armour. The BT and Prince are supposed to not take to the sky but stay on the ground for an ASAP charge. The warp talons have actually done quite well for me. But to be honest, when this goes competitive I lose those and the bezerkers for bloodletters and a heldrake.

I'm building a list myself, and Im wondering how you feel about that Lord.

Do you like him? Do you really want to spill blood in the name of Khorne? Or do you really think that your Lord's skull is too good to be added to the Skull Throne?

Haha, what I'm getting at is that in freeing up only 5 points above what you have now, you could ditch the AOK and Sigil and DARE your opponent to kill him wile holding Kor'lath.

You still get everything the AOK would've done, but a very different 'insurance policy.'

Send him in confidently, knowing that if he 'dies' your enemy suddenly has a second 'Thirster to contend with in his place.

You have two other eligible characters (one of which could be selected for an armored delivery in your L/R) with which to tithe in another Bloodthirster if so inclined.

I dig the list though. I just wish the cultists would've fit in the slaughtercult somehow, but I get the CAD choice.

Are you guys building a campaign or something?

I get it if you really had a reason to make him survivable-a.f.

But in keeping with Khorne's tendencies, I think a maddened sonofabitch who really didn't give a damn whose blood it was, as long as it was flying through the air would be way more badass.

I just looked and the Talons Champ can't tithe in a BT (demon of khorne)
