So I was tooling around with the idea of an almost all infantry list using the new Emperor's Shield Company rules and I think I may have something that can work! The idea is to have so much stuff out there that the enemy cannot do much target priority, with each squad being able to take on basically anything short of a land raider or a knight. The only conundrum I have currently is whether to use flamers or stick to grenade launchers for range and flexibility.
Command
CCS- Lascannon +Master of Ordnance

Emperor's Shield
CCS- Regimental Standard + Plasma x2 (although I am considering switching plasma for medi-pack/carapace to keep him in a pure support role in order to give combined FRFSRF orders)
Platoon #1
PCS- Grenade Launcher x4
Infantry Squad- Krak Grenades+Grenade Launcher
Infantry Squad- Krak Grenades+Grenade Launcher

one of the great things about how I positioned the points on the PCS is I can still have the flexibilty of switching up 4x grenades to flamers or 2 meltas or a HWT on the fly without needing to rework the points too much. Obviously I will need input to polish it but I think I have some of the basics covered with this set up, even the sentinels and lascannons can do anti air if need be.

I have the sudden realization that this might be so many units I will have to put them in reserve or they will not fit on the table, anyone have experience with this many models on the table other than making your opponent groan in the movement phase?
