Hi guys so , here we go , I've recently had a break from 40k lasting nearly 2 years , and thought I'd pick it back up and try a new race and after reading the tau codex thought I'd give it a go !

So to start off , I bought myself a retaliation cadre! So the first logical step was to magnetize my commander, and do a test model on an old crisis suit I picked up on eBay.

For the scheme, just have to finish him off with red helmet and red panels and sept decals !

So I've airbrush the commander vallejo light brown then worked up the white areas, I've left hints of brown around to show dustiness, I then inked the crevices with mix of ogre flesh and black ink. I'll do the gems and lens the go on to the helmet and lighting!

Ok so update on my cadre I've assembled the majority bar drones , riptide , some fire warriors have been undercoated and my crisis team have been sprayed , my method is vallejo stonewall grey, air white and touch of light brown for a dusting , here's the pics
