Pretty straight forward battle plan. The large tac unit is joined by the praetor, siege breaker and techmarine. All three infantry units get up close under the cover of the contemptor and bring in the rain. If I'm lucky I'll get the world burner warlord trait and my quad launchers will get shred.

Techmarines don't have IC in 30k.

best way to do this list would be to drop the techmarine, and take a forge world (if you REALLY want that rad grenade) other then that, I like it a lot!

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

Right, didn't realize the techmarine couldn't join units. So I can dump him and add a pair of rhinos for the 10 man tac units or add an apothecary to the 20 man unit. As much as I like FNP the rhinos seem to be the more prudent choice.
The two ten man units need the extra survivabilty more than the 20. Also my understanding of the Ironfire rite means I could keep a unit in the transport and still benefit from the short scatter.

You should do, yeah. It'll even increase the range slight since you'll measure from the hull of the rhino (As per the rules for transports)!

I'm a worried the phosphex is a bit op. I was thinking of dropping the siege breaker, phosphex shells and contemptor mortis. I'd add a leviathan with storm cannon, grav bombard and phosphex launcher to make back most of the lost punch. I'm left with about 150 pts left that I'm not sure what to do with.

Do the moving templates from the Phospex affect the rules for Blast Templates with the RoW?

I understand that the iron fire marker is placed were the templet finally comes to "rest" after it's 2" move.

I hate this unit. Very strong. At the HH event at AdeptiCon, I saw this thing put 20-30 wounds on 5-man devastator squads in multiple games.

The crawling fire rule is not to be underestimated.

The ordor Reductor medusa seige tanks are prety strong allies. Slightly cheaper, comes with phosphex with out needing a seige breaker, and can buy PotMS and a front AV13.

Iron fire dose effect allied barrage weapons, since it's all barrage weapons in the army as a whole.

Phosphex is strong, but the phosphex in your list have 2 major flaws: rapier phosphex is only AP: 3, and the siege breaker holding his phosphex bomb only has a 6" range. I'd keep them.

I understand that my quad launchers are little threat to 2+ units.

But considering how few units a 2000pt army will have and that I have a 33% chance of getting the world burner warlord trait which will give 1-3 blast/template units a reroll to wound. Potentially its pretty op. I want my enemy to enjoy me killing him from afar.

Reductor medusas are cheaper than full quad launchers. But their phosphex shells are not barrage and so don't benefit from the Ironfire. Your also need to pay for an magos reductor and min thallex unit at 270 before you get your medusas. Quad launcher shells have barrage, which is necessary to use the Ironfire rite.
