So with recent news of the new space hulk game coming out, i felt compelled to switch up a little and paint a new army, that army being a deathwing and raven wing fluffy army, so i want to know what you all think

Belial with the TH/SS, Librarian with the black knights. Raven wing are going to be pushing in deep and fast, and get terminators up close and personal. Mainly looking to take advantage of "Take the fight to the enemy." Special rule so that i can run, and shoot in the shooting phase, then charge right into melee combat.

Never ever buy plasma pistols.

Ravenwing are much more competitive than any terminator, though that may be less important to you.

If you just want bare bones bike squads for teleport homers, do attack bikes. Otherwise give the bike squads grav guns or melta guns or replace them with Black Knights (the best unit in codex).

Consider Deathwing Knights with Belial. Also consider one Deathwing Command Squad with apothecary and maybe champion. That Feel No Pain helps a lot.

Hmmm so maybe drop the th/ss squad for Knights. Then drop a term squad for command squad, take an apothecary, then kit them with what ever I lost with the removed Deathwing squad.

Doing that I would loose some range and a heavy flamer, but I'm assumeing Knights make up for that.

Yes then drop one of the four terminator squads to add more bikes.

Peoples on this forum will tell you that a terminator captain or librarian is a much better buy than Belial, and they're right, but he's still good for a fluffy list you're going for.

If you're after fluffy maybe replace Belial for an Interrogator Chaplain to go with CC terminators or DW Knights.

I don't think you can take a CML and another heavy weapon in a 5-man squad. I'm pretty sure it's an either/or thing (either take a CML or replace one Storm Bolter with AC/PC/HF). getting rid of one of those will save some points. It might be worth dropping one of the termie units altogether and replacing another one with a DW command squad. Take that apothecary and champion, and the Deathwing banner, and pwn some stuff. The dropped termie squad's points can add some special weapons to the Ravenwing bike squads, plus you might be able to squeeze another termie or biker character.

Squeezed in a set of knights, and a command squad thats kitted up, with a banner, assault cannon, apothocary, and a champion.

I was debating about droppining the assault cannon on the command squad and getting a plasma canon for the str 7 ap 2

out of curiosity, can knights benefit from the banner at all if they use smite mode on their maces? Smite says only 1A but dose banner boots that to 2 A?

The banner increases their Attacks on their statline. Smite is more specific.

I think a combi-grav would be better than a grav-pistol. But giving one of the other Ravenwing Bikers grav guns is even better.

Anyway this list is fine.
