I'm looking to put my WoC on the table with this system when I finally find an opponent, but for now I'm just list building.

So which gifts do you usually use?

I'm also just in the list building stage but I'm really liking the gift of the warrior (headstrong and fury I believe) because we really need to get in and smash, and not sitting around crying for a turn will help that out.

I haven't had any real experience, so take it with salt.

I was looking at giving gift of the warrior most of the time, but gift of the reaper to the king on chimera and brutal to heroes so that they contribute that to a fight they join.

Hoping someone who has tried it out could say how that went.

I've never used the Varanguar, but as an Ogre player, I can say that Brutal doesn't kick in quite as much as you'd think. 10 points is a bit spendy.

For high nerve units, lifeleech is awesome, because they're likely to loss a damage every turn.

However, nothing beats fury. Being able to countercharge when wavering is so demoralizing for the enemy. Headstrong has some overlap, but there are times when you were wavered by shooting and rolling that 4+ to charge or move forward is priceless.

Thr Guise of the Deceiver is the fury and headstrong mark. It is by far the best. Here is a link to a buddy of mine's YouTube battle report: https://youtu.be/MjYiENh4PrM

He has 4 battle reports with Varangur. Hope you enjoy.
