Hey Dakka looking for some advice on my list. Currently conflicted between using a lvl2 librarian and a bullet sponge captain for my Sang Guard squad... I only use BA powers with my librarians and I feel like with just 1 psyker its not enough to actually cast spells and if my opponent has any casting i just get denied away. Plus this leaves Dante having to tank for my squad which even though he cant be ID'd, leaves him vulnerable to be whittled down then easily killed in CQC.. Though on the other hand the captains only purpose is to get shot and take challenges. His only weapon is a bolt pistol. Though with this he leaves Dante and friends untouched and free to do their thing in CQC so in a sense he buffs the squad. Taking the captain causes me to drop the extra warlord trait relic of my SPriest also.
So.. ML2 BA powers and extra WL trait vs a tank for Dante and deathstar. Heres my actual lists..
Some advice on how to use a knight would be nice too with this army. I've never used one before.
List with the Captain

Captain:Art Armor,SS,JP Sang Priest: JP,bp
Last time I used both against necrons and the captain did amazingly, tanking half a Dcults shots and then a squad of 17 warriors rapid firing only put one wound on him, allowing dante and the Guard to reach his lines unhurt. While the librarian whiffed everything he tried to cast.
I'm fairly sure the Librarian will be more helpful to you than the tanky Captain, not least for the potential blessings which may well do a much better job of toughening a unit. Plus Dante's a pretty good tank anyway.
My advice for the Knight (bearing in mind that I haven't ever used one, either, would be to run it up a flank. They're pretty quick and you want to avoid being flanked if at all possible. It'll take two turns to make contact with the enemy back-field units, and the rest of the game wrecking gak.
With librarians, you need a few to be reliable. With ml3 (?) I doubt you will be able to get the powers you want. If you go psychic, you need to go full psychic.
If you're not bringing a Librarian with the new Space Marine powers, someone else will. Consider bringing a culexus in one of your special Fast Rhinos.
