Hi Guys, I've written a list for a local competition. I was hoping for some review and opinion

HQ- Chaplain- 110
-Jump Pack
-Melta Bombs

Elites- Vanguard Vets- 190
-Jump Packs
-Thunder Hammer/ Storm Shield
-2x Double Lightning Claw
-2x Lightning Claw/Storm Shield/ Melta Bombs

Troops- Scouts- 84
-Camo Cloaks
-4x Sniper Rifles
-Missile Launcher

Troops- Scouts- 95
-Land Speeder Storm

Troops- Tacticals- 215
-Rhino w/ Dozer Blade
-Plasma Gun
-Heavy Bolter
-Combi-Melta

FA- Bikes- 181
-Power Fist
-2x Grav-Gun

HS- Stormraven- 200
-Multi-melta
-Assault Cannon

LoW- Knight Errant- 415
-Thermal Cannon
-Meltagun

The force is designed to be fast, to cater to the Maelstrom tournament conditions, while supporting the Knight.

What do you guys think?

For the Tactical Squad, I'd change the Combi-Melta to a Combi-Plasma because of the range, but that's more of a personal preference. Do you plan to get the squad as close as possible? Or to get it close but still sit at a reasonable range?

Also, what is the tactical for? Anti-Infantry or Anti-Vehicle? Or a hand mix of both? Because if not purely Anti-Infantry, I'd recommend changing the Heavy Bolter to a Multi-Melta or a Rocket Launcher. If more for Anti-Vehicle than anti-infantry, keeping the Combi-Melta would be a good idea, especially combined with a Multi-Melta for the Heavy Weapon, but the range may become a problem depending on how you play them.

I'd also downgrade the Power Fist on the Bikes to a Power Sword and use the 10 points to buy a Storm Bolter for the Rhino, but that also depends on how you use the Grav-Guns - Anti-Vehicle or Anti-Infantry - as well as how close you realistically want the bikes to get to the enemy.

Finally, not a change, but a question: Why 2x Dual Lightning Claws then 2x (Lightning Claw + Storm Shield)?

Looks like a fun and fairly decent list regardless of whether or not you change it, plus running support for a Knight opens up opportunities depending on what your opponents choose to focus on.

The two Storm Shielde are there to boost the survivability of the squad, especially the Chaplain. As Lightning Claws are the same price as a Sword, but with Shred, the loss of the extra attack isn't so bad, as the Storm Shield prevents me getting it anyway.

I run LC/SS vets too. I'd consider an axe and bolt pistol to replace one of the double LC vets. You could use a tad more AP2.

I've been considering dropping some toys to bring a barebones Librarian, especially after looking at the new marine psychic powers. Thoughts?

Well if you dropped the Storm Shields and the Melta Bombs on the Vanguard Vets and gave the Vet Sergeant a cheaper weapon than a Thunder hammer, that should free up some points. I also feel like you could definitely strip the Missile Launcher on the Scouts to free up some more points. All that being taken out, you will probably still be short on points for buying a Librarian (even a base one). you may be able to strip or downgrade weapons on the Stormraven and the Bikes to find the remaining points.

As for whether it's worth it, I have no idea. I'd say it would be worth it if you can find the points to make him ML2.
