Ok any tips on what you would change or keep in this army and any tactical advice for tournaments with this army. ( I can only use a max of 4 Inquisitorial detachments meaning a max of 12 'troop choices' and 8 inquisitors) The inquisitors will join the relevant squads so the incinerator inquisitor will be with the flamer acoloytes etc.
How would this fare in a tournament? any changes?

I'm currently in the process of building a pure Inquisition force, no allies, just two FOC's full of Inquisition w/ 4 HQ Choices and 6 Elite Choices i.e. Henchmen Warbands.

At the moment I am considering a very different approach to the list you've posted. The MSU approach is a valid one, making use of the cheap and relatively effective Acolyte units, although the list has decent Anti-Tank, but no Assault or Counter Assault units, as well as being all round very squishy. Please let me know how your games go!

I've used Inquisition as allies in several games and so have some experience of their strengths, at the moment my Competitive Pure Inquisition looks like this; at 1849.

HQ Coteaz (Warlord)- 100

-Warband 1- 110
3x Servitors w/ Multi-Melta
2x Jokaero
1x Psyker

HQ Ordo Xenos Inquisitor w/ Conversion Beamer, Power Armour, Servo Skulls x3- 87

-Warband 2- 140
3x Servitors w/Plasma Cannon
2x Jokaero
1x Psyker

HQ Ordo Malleus Inquisitor w/ Hellrifle, ML 1- 70

-Warband 3- 140
3x Servitors w/Plasma Cannon
2x Jokearo
1x Psyker

HQ Ordo Xenos Inquisitor w/ Power Sword, Needle Pistol, Power Armour, Rad Grenades, ML1 Psyker- 103

-Warband 4- 450
7x Death Cult Assassins
3x Crusaders
2x Ministorum Priests
-in Land Raider

-Warband 5- 161
9x Acolyte w/ Storm Bolters
2x Acolytes w/ Flamers
1x Psyker
-in Chimera w/Heavy Bolter, Psybolt Ammunition

-Warband 6- 168
8x Acolytes w/ Storm Bolters
3x Acolytes w/ Meltaguns
1x Psyker
-in Chimera w/Heavy Bolter, Psybolt Ammunition

-Aegis Defence Line w/ Comms Relay- 50

Fast Attack 2x Valkyrie w/Lascannon- 270

I think that this style of list plays to the several unique strengths of the Inquisition Codex. Coteaz's Special Rule allows his unit to effectively protect the Aegis Defence Line from Deep Striking units and reliably blow-up Drop Pods before their cargo disembarks. The Plasma Cannon Servitors are intended to fire all game long, avoiding Mind-Lock with their Inquisitors present.

The Servitors units are long range fire supports, firing with Plasma and Lascannon profiles from the Jokaero; which cover the Acolyte units as they advance to take objectives and engage other units at shorter range. The units defending the Aegis Defence Line have some devastating firepower with the Jokaero, Conversion Beamer and Servitors, all hopefully buffed with Prescience from the individual Psykers.

The Land Raider is somewhat of a centrepiece and will draw a lot of enemy fire; the counter to this is hopefully in the strong psychic presence of the lists; making 8 seperate rolls on Telepathy and Divination should turn up Invisibility and hopefully this will allow the Land Raider to deliver the deadly CC Warband inside. The Land Raider and Chimera's take on the enemy on the front lines, whilst the firebase of the Aegis Defence Line, protected by Coteaz, blows holes in enemy units. The Valkyries bring at least some Anti-Flyer.

I think the list has a decent mix of capabilities, let me know what you think.

Hunting with the 13th

Ten points for Acolyte flamers is steep; I would drop them, and the combi-plasma on the Xenos inquisitor, and instead arm him with a conversion beamer - stick him with some jokaero in a chimera, and you have a nice little fire bastion that can support your advancing razorbacks. With five fire points, I would also consider maxing out any long range weaponry for your chimera-riding warbands.

I would also work in Coteaz, and then stick in a Chimera, just to have a nice counter-fire point for DS. He might be kind of cliche, but he does bring a lot to the table.

@Mallory: I am [fairly] certain that Codex: Inquisition does not have direct access to an Aegis Line (only Elites and HQs, sadly). As such, you are probably looking at a cheap ally (IG might be the cheapest route) to include it.
