After my last outing I am trying something different - full speed ahead and now with stompa. I want to give the stompa a go, and since I haven't the FW model nor converted my out of this I go with the expensive version. Plan is real simple - move forward, charge turn 2. I'd like your comments on the list and on anything I should be aware of. I have a limited pool of miniatures, so no mek on bike with 5++ KFF :/

I like it, pretty solid overall. Personally I would dump the wagons. They work best as a mobile gun platform with a shooty unit embarked, but you're using them as straight transports. I'd dump them and use the points on trukks for the MANz, a unit of tankbustas in a trukk, rams for all your trukks, and PKs for your nobz. (Pretty much a necessity.) Lootas could also be worth taking. MANz and trukks have great synergy. The trukks are way fast, the MANz are slow. The trukks can explode, but the MANz have a 2+ save, so they'll probably be unscathed. On the other hand, wagons are slower and as you move them close to the enemy to dump the MANz you'll open its side AV to enemy fire, or if it gets hit in CC its rear armour too. If you're going for tournament competition level, maybe switch the warboss for zhardsnark. +10 points, but you can take the bikes as troops and ditch some of the boyz. If you don't have Zhad he shouldn't be too hard to convert. The boyz in a trukk are usually mincemeat in competitive games with their small unit size, tendency to get blown up with their trukk. (4+ vs AP1, 4+ to wound, 6+ save) and they will suffer badly from mob rule casualties. You can split off 3 bikes to form another squad for CAD requirements or take some gretchin. Or even keep the boss and just switch in 2 units of gretchin. Killsaws are meh. Tankbustas are much better for that role. (S8 AP1 tankhunters and armourbane in CC, still S8 tankhunters shooting.) If you do ditch the wagons, the boyz, and killsaws and just can't get enough MANz, consider a bullyboy formation. (3x 5 units of MANz, fear, fearless, +1WS) I don't want to be a downer, like I said, it is a pretty good list. Your bikerstar, MANz, and Stompa will serve you well.

If your going to use Battle wagons ..RAMs and Rokkits is currently the way to go ..(you have plenty of STR 5 shooting with the Bikers) Some STR 8 shooting is never bad (I often use snapshotts from Battle wagons as AA)

I don't see the point of putting your manz units in battlewagons, better off with them in trukkz and getting them to your opponent faster. I guess I'm beating the dead horse though, since other people already commented on it.

The reason for BW over trukks is that in my experience the trukk is shot up too fast, either dumping the MANZ in my deployment zone or opening them up to plasma galora. In this army I hope to achieve target saturation with high AV models, forcing my opponent to choose between the stompa or the BW. Trukks would just make AT weapons target it, and medium caliber weapons target the trukks.
To have MANZ succeed would require a lot of reserve trukks to mount onto.
I can be wrong of course, but for now I think I am right.

It's also an extra 150 points you're having to sink to get the BWs, which could go to 3 KMK mekgunz or something. But your preference, wish you the best of luck in your tournament!

It's done.
Game 1, Emperor's Will against White Scar Gladius Strike Force, what a p***load of ants. Super gattler ran out of ammo on second shot. So many rhinos, so little time. My warboss and posse moved forward to try and charge some scouts and failed the charge, bikes took heavy casualties then Khan and command squad hammered into them. Got a second chance as MANZ and warboss was alive and charged into the biker command, but alas MANZ did 4 wounds (?). My stompa held for quite some time but was eventually gunned down by all the grav in the world. 0-11
Game 2, relic against 6 flying hive tyrants. Made a big mistake as I should have moved stompa to grab relic on turn 1, then moved backwards with bikers and BW denying flyrants anywhere to land. However I had gotten the scenario wrong and took it as if relic could not be moved (boy, the guys behind ITC are doing a difficult job at wording out the missions). Alas the finer points of 40K movement phase are lost to me. So the flyrants got to the back of the stompa and threw a barrage of S6 at it and eventually glanced it to death. Games was still close and a bit of luck could have had me win by a point. 2-8
Game 3, Purge the Alien vs 5 riptides and 1 stormsurge. Oh battlewagons how I love thee. Everything bar the warbikes (no room) battered down the road towards the mechas. Two str D rockets were shot at stompa on turn 1 and KFF handled both, Two str D rockets were fired on turn 2 and one went through KFF. My shooting got brutally stopped by three voidshields and my own dice. In much better newsonce the MANZ got to the riptides they stopped shooting and startet to pound my MANZ, yay! All the while the stompa kindly asked to be given way of passage through annoying marker drones. His shooting was up for the task however and turn 3 saw him reach a wing (?) of three riptides and wacked them over a couple of turns - hooray for mega choppa and stomp. Eventually my stompa killed off the three riptides, then another riptide and charged and shredded the stormsurge, whom had gone on a rampage and killed my warboss and then a battlewagon and ended up in my deployment zone. Much clobbering and rightiousness had ensued before I took what was mine by might and right: The middle. Anyways I had been so busy beating up the big stuff that I had not had time to kill the smaller stuff so my opponent won the primary objective and as my warlord was dead game ended 5-6. But who cares - the moral victory was mine indeed.
7 points out of 33 had me finishing last, and have thinking about rokkits for stompa support...

Sounds like people just customized the armies for each mission. I'm guessing they were just running unbound lists as well considering one of the guys had 6 flying hive tyrants and one had 5 riptides. Not much you can do against that kind of cheese.
I do agree with the comment above though that MANZ in trucks are way better. If I run battlewagons I normally deck it out with flash gitz inside for nice shooting.
