Hi fellow Dakka people!

I have decided to start a WIP blog on a little project I am currently undertaking. I have created a chapter called the Templar Knights of Taal and I want to bring in Imperial guard, Skitari and Inquisition concepts, thinking that where one is, another is sure to be supporting them.

For story purposes I came up with a back story to my chapter and the idea revolves around revenge, with the system of Taal, where the 295th IG Army, a force from the Lucius Biologis of the Adeptus Mechanicum and of course the Templar Knights of Taal are stationed, is destroyed by Chaos using a ruse to lure the defenders away from the system.

You can read the full back story here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1P_JAwj-Ekyv-gyEhNbjDKNvNtc87EUq2phNiVPTpvSc/edit?usp=sharing

And you can see the 'Inquisition Report' here - http://imgur.com/a/d7EYh

After the system is destroyed the Inquisition descend on the survivors who are gearing up to go on a 'Crusade of Revenge'. The Inquisitor in charge decides that, while their intentions are good and there is no taint to the surivors yet, their crusade needed to be carefully watched so it doesn't become all about death and destruction (in a bad way) so he and his retinue join the crusade fleet.

Now, to the models.

We will start with the Imperial Guard of the 295th. Not many here at the moment but planning on expanding this soon. Always loved this model!

I bought myself a Scion command squad about a year ago before really getting into the hobby in the last 4 weeks or so... I've lost two of the models but...

I will be expanding this with a couple of Cadian squads w/chimera or those Tarvox (sp?) truck things, another few Scions and a Catchan unit to go with the snipers. I will be doing some light conversions to them as well. At the moment I plan to us M16 model guns instead of the normal las rifles and I am thinking of picking up some pistols as well, just to give them some 'wow look at that' flavour.

Next up is the Mechanicum forces of the Lucius Biologis. Not pictured is my 10 Rangers who are just base coated black and the Arch Magos preist tech guy who I haven't even started putting together.

Not really finished, still have some detail work to complete and I have to highlight the top bit. The base for this one is something I have been thinking about for weeks. I am doing a ruined city scape theme with the bases (See Sniper) and I am thinking about a cracked leaking sewer pipe an some other bits and pieces.

The Inquisition, I forgot to take a picture of him! He is a kit bash of SM/IG/Skitari with a very large force sword. I think it was either from a demon model or a eldar avatar... Anywho I will update when I get a chance with his pic. I'm still not happy with the sword so I will work on it some more first.... I have have ideas for a sanctioned pysker, a bounty hunter and an assassin with dual silenced pistols. Should be fun

Combat Squad

All together

Chaplain with his escorts

Chaplain close ups, WIP and I'm not sure about the axe but it will do for now. Still a lot of work to do on this!

My 1st Rhino, this has been red, silver and now going green. Doesn't look 100% up close but it will do and it will look ok when finished I am sure.

Here are some bits to go on my next Rhino (which is here and ready to be built) I like the extra armour conversion bits. It will probably end up as my command rhino with loads of cables and antenna etc. I also picked up some cheap jewellery chain from charity shops (99p lol) so will probably use some of that on some up coming models.

Not pictured:

Skittari Rangers x 10
Skittari tech priest
Converted SM Librarian
Dreadnaught
2 Bikes (not sure where my 3rd is... must find that)
Whirwind, but may change this to a Inquisitorial Razorback with flamers...

I also bought the Chaos army from the DV set last night.... So I will probably do a bit of converting to make some Inquisitorial guys, then they will on the back burner for a bit.

I will be looking to update twice a week (Monday & Friday probably)

C&C VERY WELCOME!!

Update 23/04/16

Hi everyone!

Managed to finish pretty much anyway, my first tactical squad this week to go with my Scibor/GW mash Veteran Sergeant. Here they are in all their lovely glory.

Couple of detail shots on the extra Scibor bits to tie them to their commander.

My Chief Librarian, Toleras Tides. A WIP that I am looking forward to painting.

This is a mash up of different makers, the Body is from Scibor, the arms and the shoulder pads come from GW. The Staff is from Kromlech and the fire sculpt he is holding is a muzzle blast from Anvil Industries.

Now, I love this next model but I have no idea how I am going to use him. My 'Inquisitorial Squad' in my mind:
An Inquisitor, Jullian Vallin,
A Sanctioned Pysker called Kurse Eaden,
A Bounty Hunter, (Crusader?)
An Assasin
A Demonhost
2 Acoloytes
2 Arco-flagellant

Anyway here he is, A model from DV box set that I am converting from Chaos to Inquisition. I love th look of the model and it was a simple convert. I am going to add some purity seals, some 'bits' and maybe a chain across his chest... WIP

Next update next week! Thanks for checking it out!

Your rhino has the rear hatch on backwards. Your marines are really bright, but its a nice take on them and makes it refreshing.

Overall the only painting tips I have for you if you even want to hear them is on the tanks its worth it to go back and add a darker shade where plates meet and stuff. Just to help break up the model.

Your work looks good and ready to hit the table in awesome combat.

They thanks for the comments. I think all the hatches on that tank are on backwards but I think changing it would be to much effort at this stage.

The tank will be the same colour as the marines soon.,. Lots of shades still to do
