Hey all, I'm looking to start infinity with some friends under the following unique conditions.

1. First, I'll be the only one (at least for some time) collecting the models which means my friends will be using my armies.
2. I'm looking to very slowly build out each force evenly as we get further and further into the game.
3. I'm interested in PanOceania, Nomads, and Combined Army (and will be getting Operation Icestorm and the Combined Army Starter Pack as a start).
4. A major goal is to have three decent, all-around lists for each of the three factions that will play well against each other (with none having crazy advantages over the others) and each being able to participate in each 'phase' of the game including the advanced rules.
4.5 Essentially, I'd be looking at playing those three lists against each other in a vacuum (again, the building out of each army would happen very slowly).

So, that being said, what models would you guys recommend buying to fill out each faction to the 300pt level assuming I'm starting with the sets mentioned in number 3 above?

Thanks!

Go here: http://www.data-sphere.net/tag/starting-with/

Find your applicable armies.

It will tell you exactly what to buy to get to 300 and talk about how it plays or usage suggestions.

You don't have to follow it exactly of course, but it will be a very helpful guide.

Thanks so much! This is exactly the type of thing I was looking for.

No problem.

It's where I started when I began to buy multiple armies at once. I basically had a scattered amount of stuff from all over to paint and wanted to actually get INTO the game.

If you pay attention to some of the suggestions and write it down in like Notepad, you'll find you can use some units suggested for one army, in a completely different army.
