Hi Guys

Since i started a few months ago (again after a long break from the Hobby) and got a few games with my Black Templar on my back i would like to start a new army. i would like to play something other than an assault army like my Black Templar so i favour a shooty Eldar List as my second Army.

First of all most of the time we use 1250 points for our games and sometimes we make 2on2 Games with 1250 points for each player.

My Budget for this army is about €400

So this is my first thoughts about the list i think i would like to start with:

HQ:
Farseer
Eldar Jetbike, Singing Spear

Troops:
Windriders
4x Windrider w/ Scatter Laser
4x Scatter Laser

Windriders
3x Windrider w/ Scatter Laser

Lord of War
Wraithknight
Ghostglaive and Scattershield, 2x Starcannon

Formation
Crimson Death

Crimson Hunter
2x Bright Lance

Crimson Hunter
2x Bright Lance

Crimson Hunter Exarch
2x Starcannons, Exarch

1246pts

Would love to hear some thoughts from you guys.

This is list is powerful but... do you want to make friend or keep them? If the answer is yes, scrap the content of this list.

A rule of thumb (and don't listen to whatever guys like XV0 and traditio say) is that you shouldn't bring a wraithknight till you hit the 1500 points. Any lower and that breaks the game and steals all the fun.

Then come the infamous jet-bikes. you're brining quite a few and that can ruffle feathers (and it's a bit of dick move, let's be honest.) And it's boring to spam the same unit all the time. My recommendation is that you drop one unit of bikes and merge two of. Thus you have 6 and 3 bikes. Then I recommend you buy a unit of avengers or guardian defenders plus warlock and give them a wave serpent. Thus you get the same number of scoring units as before while looking less WAAC.
For the wraithknight think of bringing his younger brother: the wraithlord. Two of them are a nice thing to see, and dreadfully powerful.

My last recommendation is that you drop the crimson death formation, get a single flier for now. Make him the exarch and for the love of god don't bring the starcannons, they aren't that good.
Last recommendation is that you think of brining, witht he remaining points a unit of reapers and a unit of warpsiders. Thus you'll have a unit with excellent anti tank and mobility.

Solid list, keep the scatbikes in units of 3. I would stick to 1 Crimson Hunter Exarch with Brightlances and put the rest of your points in to a Warp spider aspect Host if possible.

It is your money so if you like the models and the list use them as you see fit and have fun!

Hey guys thanks for your thoughts!
We are a casually group of friends who play this so i think i will tune it down little.

But i have a few things i realy dont like to change like the Crimson Death Formation, cause i realy like the look of the models and since im thinking of making my own craftworld which rely on air supremacy and mobility (no foot slogging, not much heavy support)
And also the Jetbikes get a good deal from a friend for 12 Jetbikes

Also i cant really say much about Eldar about our Meta cause there is non eldar
Most of the time we have Space Marines, Necorn, Tau, Deamons, Chaos SM, Sisters Of Battle and Tyranids at our group

Heres a little update hope this is more "friendly"

The list here is still very solid. The war walkers, dire avengers and bike unit size are what makes it less competitive.

Others have already said that bikes are optimal in squads of 3 with all scatter lasers.

I agree that in games less than 1500, WK shouldn't be used in fruendlies.

Crimson Death is really good and I'm glad you like the models (as do I, which is why I also have 3) - the variation of weapons, having lances and cannons is good (although I would still magnetise as brightlance a all round tend to do well).

Also, maybe consider an Autarch? Their ability to manipulate reserve rolls could prove vital for the Crimson death formation.
