I've considered dropping the Contemptor as this list quite mobile but I don't know what the points would go towards.

I'd definitely keep the contemptor.

It, the Sicaran, and the terminator chainfist are your only heavy duty antitank....

I approve wholeheartedly of someone not taking a bloody paragon blade, by the way.

I'm not sold on the Dreadclaw for the terminators. Atramentar are one of the few terminators who can purchase teleport capability without needing orbital assault rite of war, and the Dreadclaw doesn't give you inertial guidance (unlike a kharybdiss or normal legion drop pod), so it's no 'safer' than just teleporting in.

Have you considered some air support? You can get pretty nasty antitank and area-effect damage to substitute for artillery on fighters and gunships, and they feel a lot more 'night-lord-esque'.

The one army I'll warn you to plan for is Mechanicum - especially Legio Cybernetica.

Castellax Battle-Automata are tough enough to not worry too much about volkite fire, they're fearless, and they're monstrous creatures and therefore ignore preferred enemy (infantry).

Meanwhile, Thallax have a 24" no-infiltrate-bubble, and peel away your cover save advantage.

It's an unpleasant combination to face, as those are your four best tricks in a terror squad heavy force!

After dropping the combi-melta, digital lasers and trophies from the praetor and swapping dreadclaws for teleporters, I could fit a fire raptor just about. Would you recommend something else instead as I feel it's another anti MEQ in an already anti MEQ heavy army.

Xiphons or Primaris Lightnings?

The latter is a very flexible model - equipped with missiles, it can be used as Kraken Penetrators (S8 AP1 Armourbane missiles that can ginsu a flare-shielded Spartan with ease) or Sunfuries (S5 AP3 blind large blasts that do nasty things to massed marine infantry).

Xiphons seem the best although only two shots is low considering only hitting on a three. Although in combination with Konrad Curze forcing night fighting and plus 1 to jink, it becomes more durable.

Remember that the lascannons are twin-linked. The Xiphon's rotary launcher only being two shots is a shame, but on the other hand it doesn't have limited ammunition, unlike the kinetic piercers on an auxilia thunderbolt.

Been using Battlescribe to build the list so for some reason it didn't list the lascannons, way more on board with it now.

the xiphon is a safe, good option, though personally I like the strike-fighter. Nothing beats phosphex bombs and other such fun missiles

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.
