Hey guys, so my college semester is coming to a close in the next few weeks, and as of late i have gotten this bug up my bum to build a scenery piece. I have been wanting to make a planet strike esq piece. Was leaning toward an imperial strong hold, or something along those lines.

I have seen some really cool work done with foam board, and a fortress of redemption, want to do something like that. The idea i have floating around in my mind is i want to make a dark angels fortress monastery that would be on one of their recruiting worlds. This image is what tickled my fancy in it.



What would you all do? Im really thinking about utilizing the fortress of redemption and maybe a shrine of Aquilia, and putting a well endowed eagle cannon on top of it, (Aquila strong point)

Im just looking for some
inspiration
tips and tricks of the trade when building a scenery piece like this
best type of foam board to use
best type of cutters to cut out the foam so that i can put the pieces into it

most importantly, the best way to line it up so it will fit with an actual realm of battle board.
