The Internet- where men are men, women are men, and kids are undercover cops

Since everyone and their mom seems to be playing Emperor, Fel, and a third ship (Vader or Jax) or 6 Black Squadron+Crack Shot, I was poking around and wondered if maybe this'd be my new thing to do, since I hate using common lists.

Two Advanced with ATC means more targets for Vessery if I'm dealing with a BS swarm and I'm not sure what he'll be shooting at. Vader with VI can deal with Phantoms and most arc-dodgers- namely Soontir Fel. Having Steele tied with Vessery means if I'm dealing with a large ship (Ghost, I'm looking at you) I'll have a better chance of landing a good crit by having Vessary drop shields and Stele use his pilot ability. Hopefully, the ion cannon will let me turn a nasty joust around after both sides K-turn. Thoughts?

Perhaps not technically a Marine Chapter anymore, but the Flame Falcons would be pretty creepy to fight.

Should work. Maarek Stele's big weakness is that he needs to spend his action target locking, so on the first turn of exchanged fire, you'll have no focus or evade to protect yourself. That said, a TIE Advanced is fairly tough for its cost.

Vader looks good - the obvious thing missing is an engine upgrade, which you may find yourself wishing you had to help get shots on someone squirrely, but I can't see how you can easily afford it.

Vessery, as ever, looks good.

My thought would be to switch VI on Vader to Juke, giving all of his actions some offensive potential. Without the engine upgrade I suspect that you're going to be taking evade a lot... so why not make the action also give him the potential to hit harder

My suggestion would be to drop predator on Maarek to either juke or lone wolf to get the points. Or drop the ion cannon to a tractor beam and give Vessery VI so Maarek shoots after him (hopefully on a ship with 1 fewer green die). ... With the title it's less of a sacrifice of giving up the ion and damage 'cause you get the primary weapon shots)

I also think calculation might be a good match for Maarek. You're not going to be rolling a lot of dice so you're not going to have to choose between spending the focus for multiple eyeballs or a single critical that often
