Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm not looking to win tournaments but am looking for something fairly solid. The Knight and RWSS will be all I have on the board for turn 1. Turn 2 RWSF arrives on the board. I usually have my RWSF start on the table so I am a little apprehensive about it coming in turn 2 however I want to finally use my Dark Talon.

An alternative would be ditching the 5 man black knight squad and the carapace weapon on the Knight and adding two more 3 man RW bike squads with 2 grav.

I think you've got it!

Leaving only two units on the board, even tough units, is a big risk in serious tournaments. Tau, War Convocation, and Drop Pod armies all have a chance at tabling you on their first turn. Dropping your flyer gives you much more deployment flexibility.

If you really want to use your flyer, maybe replace the Support Squad with the Silence flyer formation. Maybe the upcoming flyer supplement will give those units a boost?

As a long-time Ravenwing player, I would say that the Dark Shroud by itself won't be much use to you, considering its six-inch bubble and the fact that you'll have to keep everything very close, creating a very tempting pie plate target and forcing you to Jink constantly, really hampering your offensive output. The Dark Talon has been underwhelming for me, but it can be very good if your opponent has no fliers or AA to shoot it down with.
