HEAVY SUPPORT
Necron Monolith

TOTAL - 1843 PTS

This army is a 4+ RP save from the decurion, plus the bonuses from Reclamation Legion and StarGod. It is purely built around absolutely obscene firepower and wreaking havoc on opponents.

Ute nation

The Tesseract Vault is kind of a shaky investment of points, because the powers are random, and while they are really quite showy and fun, odds are you won't get the one you need. At almost a third of your points you'll need a unit that can do work every turn. Monolith is also shaky, but can be successful.

Constantly being negative doesn't make you seem erudite, it just makes you look like a curmudgeon.

I debated taking the monolith out. The Tesseract Vault at least has high firepower and some serious damage potential.

Do you want to take this tournament to army and win games? Or is it more for having fun in a casual environment? I don't see the Tesseract Vault acheiving much in a competitive environment. It's far too random etc.

Mostly casual. Maybe competitive for giggles. I have a competitive list that I built that is pretty nice. Honestly a big part of it is because I want to paint the model and have it as a show piece on top of my desk at home as well. This list just gives me a reason to buy it and play it from time to time. Also: Want the Transcendent C'tan lol.

And yes, the powers are random. However the Tesla Spheres are pretty powerful as well.

I think the obelisk is probably better and allows you to have the C'Tan as a separate model.

True. Heck, if I took the Monolith out I could feasibly add more Immortals and Lychguard. Or even a Canoptek Harvest.
