There's a nice 2v2 tournament comming up in my area where I was supposed to go doubble ig with my friend. Unfortunantely the friend dropped out so after much searching a good ol' pal replied that he'd be intrested in attending with me. He decided to run chaos so after some discussion we decided that my guards have turned renegade and are now all khorny.

HQ: Commander with poweraxe, The deathmask of Ollanius. Squad with heavy flamer, and close combat weapons. 105p
-Chimera transport -65p

Troop: Guard veteran squad. 3 meltaguns -90p
-Chimera transport with heavy flamer. -65p

Troop: Guard veteran squad. 3 meltaguns -90p
-Chimera transport with heavy flamer. -65p

Troop: Platoon:
Command squad. Squad with heavy flamer and close combat weapons. -45p
-Chimera transport -65p

Squad 1: plasmagun, plasmapistol 85

Squad 2: plasmagun, plasmapistol 85

Heavy support: Leman russ battle tank, heavy bolter, 2x heavy flamers. -160p

Heavy support: Leman russ battle tank, 3x heavy bolters. -170p

Heavy support: Leman russ battle tank, lascannon -160p

Total: 1250p

Note: The total point is 2500p per army but each list only has to be 1200p so we'll have 100p to play around with.

Theme: The theme of the army is very important. I want this list to feel like renegade khorn worshippers. Hence there's not a single heavy weapon in the army, as all my squads will want to get in close and blody. The deathmask of Ollanius is supposed to represent chaos blessings on my lord. I was thinking about adding a few priests (with chaos models of course) as well as an inquisitor in a rhino with a bunch of deamonhosts. I was also thinking about making my veteran squads into "demolition experts" representing chaos powers stomping enemies.

Performance: This list is lacking in many regards. It has absolutely no anti air and is seriously lacking in range firepower and fortifications. I don't really see myself taking on a Knight or facing down anything with too many hull points. That said it's strength lies in mobility and lots of armour.

Plan: On my end I'll have 7 tanks and my friend will add 5 more, so that's 12 armoured things between us. We'll go for objectives and hope we don't get blasted to smitherins before we do. The plan is that I split my forces into two mini deathstars with about 3 tanks and one footsquad in each. They'll then go up on a flank each on their own missions. My friend will take his force and drive it straight through the middle of the enemy. Hopefully this will give us the mobility and threat level we need to finish objectives.

So does this list "feel" renegade or does it need some tweeking? would an inquisitor and/or priests add to the theme? Suggestions, oppinions and ideas are welcome.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

The normal LRBT can only snap shot its hulk and sponson weapons if it fires the battlecannon, sobthe weapin upgrades are a waste of points :/

Dunno about AA but you could remove you extra lrbt weapons and get a wyvern to help clear some troops.

the flame side sponsors on one of the russes has proven their worth time and time again. The other armaments not so much but it's more of a case of being stuck with the models in this case.

A wyvern might not be a bad idea for an addition though.

Slightly re modded the list:

HQ: Commander with poweraxe, The deathmask of Ollanius. Squad with heavy flamer, and close combat weapons, priest. 130p
-Chimera transport -65p

Troop: Guard veteran squad. 3 meltaguns, priest -115p
-Chimera transport with heavy flamer. -65p

Troop: Guard veteran squad. 3 meltaguns, priest -115p
-Chimera transport with heavy flamer. -65p

Troop: Guard veteran squad. 3plasmaguns, ser w plasma pistol, priest -155p
-Chimera transport -65p

Heavy support: Leman russ battle tank, heavy bolter, 2x heavy flamers. -160p

Heavy support: Leman russ battle tank, 3x heavy bolters. -170p

Heavy support: Leman russ battle tank, lascannon -160p

Total: 1275p

So with this the list is at 25p above the mark but given that we have 100p to play around with I suppose I can steal 25p from my partner in crime to have a priest in every squad. I think I prefer the look of my previous list, with two squads footslogging it, but I also really like the idea of having a priest in each and every squad. Fearless close combat guards forward! For Chaos!
