With the FAQ changes to preferred enemy and re-rolling Gets Hot, any suggestions on pasks' new bestie?

I'd say an Eradicator or a demolisher could be a good idea? Get the split fire order off, and if Pask wrecks transport have the blast come by and ruin their day, or just fire the blast at a blob as Pask deals with tanks (Also the demolisher has 24inches too so fits the punisher well).

I can say this Pask in a Punisher with the Gatling gun and HB sponsons the shear firepower makes it a Mob/light armor hunter from hell.

Another Punisher could work, maybe with multi melta/lascannon sponsons to aid with pasks anti tank? Expensive but could take a pair of escorts, one with antitank, one anti infantry and just give split fire to the one who doesnt fit the target of the other two?

I've always run Punisher Pask with an Exterminator buddy with all heavy bolters. That way there's less of an aww crap moment if you fail the split fire order since they like shooting the same targets. Also the Exterminator is cheap and since his primary role is to die first it works well. For me the unit's job is to mulch infantry and this combo consistently puts a lot of wounds on target. Causing 15 wounds on T4 is almost a given and with decent rolls you can get 25 or so. In an emergency they can attack flyers and they're also hilariously good at wrecking light vehicles. I took 18 hull points off a Razorback showing me rear armor one game...

I personally prefer fielding an Eradicator with nothing but heavy bolters all around & a Heavy Stubber up top.

This tank Kicks out 9x HB shots, 3x Stubber shots, and an ignores cover ST:6, AP:4 large blast, all to 36" away wile being five points cheaper than a bare bones LRMBT.

It's been my go-to for Pask's buddy for a long while now and that isn't changing any time soon.

Just my opinion on that. Take it easy.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

This has come as a bit of a blow to a lot of Guard players, myself included. I made the silly mistake of gluing all of my plasma cannons in place after getting tired of misplacing them ahead of games. Unfortunately I did this on Sunday, a few days before the FAQ so I'm really kicking myself.

I'm between an Exterminator and an Eradicator at the moment, each with heavy bolter sponsons, although I think the Exterminator can make better use of preferred enemy and being twin-linked.

I wouldn't go changing things just yet. I don't think any TOs or ITC/ETC will be implementing the FAQs until they are fully done revising them and everything.

I'm betting it was an oversight, because the rule book explicitly says that you do get the re-roll. I'm not honestly sure why anyone even asked this question or why they answered it. There's literally a box dedicated to answering this exact question in the BRB.

Nonetheless, they aren't done and I'm certain they'll fix this.
