As the title says i was wondering what the people of dakka were planning on doing with the new ork flier formation its 1 of the new jets and 3 of the old ones. What do you think would be the most effective build.

My guess would be not to use the new formations.

Use the "Air armada" or the old one from the campaign book
formation and fly in the defensive 4 plane square

And use that formation that gives you a waaagh from turn 2+ and onwards.

Now I think of it all the Whaaagh ghaz ormations are better then the ones in the Death from the skies book.
Use those formations and fly in the patterns of death from the skies.

That's a good idea but you cannot use the new jet in the old formations and I am trying to keep it mostly air for the new missions.

The new plane is cool looking and I will certainly field one.
But that formation just doesn't seem to be that good. It gives a 5++ while anyone could get a 4++ for free.

I would just pick a decent formation and fly the new plane as a stand alone one
