Lord Bingo requested my current 1850 Khorne Daemonkin List. This is my list for this summers expected National Tournament in Taipei, Taiwan. It is not configured to win in an ITC meta -- it has been specifically designed to combat the meta in my particular location. The games typically consist of Rulebook Maelstrom missions. I do not use, or own, the Khorne Daemonkin Maelstrom cards.

I have been running lists revolving around the Slaughtercult for the last few months. I feel that the Bloodhost Detachment is a necessary part of making the Slaughtercult work -- the +1 Blood Tithe is crucial to creating a Turn 2 Deep Strike threat overload. I feel that the Heldrake is not as powerful as it was before, but as one of the strongest Chaos Fliers, and adding it's ability to Hover, makes it a clear choice for me. They are exceptionally resilient, and can tank shooting that otherwise will affect the Bloodletters forcing difficult decisions.
I have been running 3 Heldrakes for more than a year now in 1850 games. I have yet seen all 3 of them destroyed. I have had 2 destroyed, but I feel that they are crucial in dealing with the Space Marine Gladius formations, Biker Star formations (without invisibility) and Eldar Jetbikes. Their exceptional maneuverability is only going to get better with the Death from the Skies rulebook, allowing Heldrake formations (which will probably eliminate my need for a CAD, but that's entirely a different topic.)
The Lords singular purpose is to become a Prince, and the Possessed are there as a body guard for that. They aren't exceptionally resilient, but can be deployed in such a way where they can force a response in the first turn, which is to your benefit, as this army relies upon a beta strike (which is what Khorne Daemonkin are all about, in my opinion -- You hit me first, now I hit you back .... Harder)
I would suggest you also own a sideboard of 10x Flesh Hounds, 8x Bloodletters with Standard, Instrument and Bloodreaper, a Daemon Prince, a Spawn, and a Blood Thirster.
I have to reiterate the power of Blood Tithe, and to plan out your expenditure. Turn 1, depending on 1st or 2nd Turn (and you ALWAYS want first turn) will set the stage for you to gain large amounts of Blood Tithe, if anything of yours is destroyed (such as the flimsy Rhino, or the t shirt Cultists,) that gives you the boost you'll need for a destructive Turn 2 8x Bloodletter summon, followed by 16 deepstriking Bloodletters (with FnP, as they are part of the Slaughtercult), which will automatically bring down 2 Heldrakes (due to the Instruments), as Heldrakes are Daemons of Khorne. You have pinpoint accuracy with this strike, and your opponent merely needs to kill 3 models because of the Blood for the Blood God rule for Characters.
The Comms Relay is in there because there are situations that you will want to Deepstrike the Soul Grinders instead of the Heldrakes (armies with many FMC, or have significant threats to your Flyers.) Two Soul Grinders with Phlegm in someones's backyards with 17x Bloodletters nearby will force a reaction.
Comments, critique and questions are always welcome.
