Below is my list for a tournament i am attending this year in august. I'd like some feed back on it, ive got 13pts left, but the main goal of my army is to go first with precision strike forces and key unit assassination. I've play tested this list quite a bit and its won all 5 games so far. But it's entirely dependent on going first which the talon strike force helps with. (dont want drop pods in this list) Any feed back is welcome.

The restrictions on the tournie is atleast 500pts in troop must be used, a max of 600pts in every other slot ie: 600pts in heavy 600pts in fast attack and so on.
lord of wars up to 350pts (if you take one your restricted to 500pts in each slot instead) and 300pts max on forgeworld units. No relics or Named characters are allowed aswell. Maelstrom missions are being played aswell as the normal eternal war missions. I've gone for board control with the scouts and fast hard hitting units. The 3 scout bike squads bring on the 3 tact squads (and hopefully come in within 12" of an enemy and 9" of the scout sarge), the devs and sniper scouts sit at the back to provide support, assault squad is there for harassment purposes, the speeders for mop up duty and objectives and the vanguards for unit assassination. The chaplain bugs me atm as he has no role atm.. he cant join the vanguard vets until turn 2 so has to be the assault squad for the turn 1 drop.

The planes are there to add +2 to my reserves to come in turn 1 and also provide anti horde with the hurricanes or anti teq with the rift cannons. I have debated adding in a callidus as her trait to make the enemy re roll seize could be very helpful and also add another threat with the 12 infiltrate and flame a unit with the ap 2 flamer.

Hmm looks solid, I might tweak a few things. Are you wanting the rhinos for more survivability? I usually try for outflank with my scout units without rhinos (probably because I don't have any ) and it works quite well. Your shadowstrike kill team looks solid. Interesting most people skip lances, but they could be good with the vanguards for sure. Why not 4 plasma cannons to complete the unit? I also go for 4xlascannons for ignores cover lascannon goodness.

7 squads of scouts is just awesome isn't it? I run 3, because that's all I have. when I can get some time/money I'll invest in some LSS's as well. I run my scouts with bolters across, cloaks and a melta bomb. EVERY squad gets a mb. You have no idea how many times I've use them in combat with MC, popping a backfield vehicle/dread, etc.

Interesting addition of the DA flyers. I run a raptor wing myself. The reroll wound/pen is awesome when paired with the speeder.

List looks good dude, get any game in with it? Would love to see how the Shadowstrike kill team works.

I use recon squads as my scouts and outriders as scout bikers. Ive had 5 games so far and won them all, my main problem is the reserves... My first list i used had a damocles in but it'd always get popped and ive used the callidus too for a better chance to be sneaky and go first

I didnt have the pts for more plasma cannons and i roll gets hot so many times... And i find power lances to be great, not a fan of axes if im honest... (both with looks and unwieldly).

I used the dark talons for more of a hunter killer roll, i found the storm talons to be a bit, naff? Reminds me of the nephilium.. :(

My two troubles with this list is getting reserve manipulation in and a good warlord, with the restriction on relics (i usually use swiftstrike and murder) im kinda lost of how to kit up a hq without it costing a butt tonne

And the rhinos are to increase the grav cannons range, 6" on 6" disembark 12" range so 24" in and if i get a unit on both sides thats effectively 48" im covering, was thinking razorbacks but i dont own any :p its mainly my 30k dark angels im using, calling it my shadow wing

Also the reason i take lances on the van vets is i dont want to over kill 2+ save units, id rather be locked than stood in the open with my pants down my hardest game so far was a full white scar bike list with 2 drop podding grav cent squads, i managed to kill all but the bike command, only managed to kill the apothecary with a lucky orbital from the damocles haha, even though we aint obsec with the pinion ive found our board control is so good! All them scouts sneaky capping so gawwwd
