Reclamation

1overloard
5 Lychguard with shields ( maybe overloard goes here)
3 tomb blades
10 warrior and Ark
10 warriors
10 immortals with gauss

2 X Auxiliary

Canoptek Harvest
Judicator Battalion

This comes in at around 1460 figured I could dump the rest on upgrades to the overlord or something.
Got the army used with most of this stuff so wanted to see how this would be and if there was anyway to improve. This is more for friendly maelstrom games but I have a competitive play group.
Was thinking maybe of dropping the Judicator formation and adding another 10 warrior and an Ark but I would have to buy the models. Also have 5 deathmarks would like to use but Cant fit them in this list @ 1500
Don't know much about the Army thanks for any feed back!

Edit for spelling

Welcome to the dynasties! You have a good start here. You haven't fully listed your options and wargear, so I have a few questions/comments:

1. How is your Overlord equipped? A standard load-out is Warscythe and Phase Shifter. If you have the points leftover, you can also give him a Phylactery and/or Gauntlet of Fire.

2. Yes, your Overlord should go with the Lychguard. Lychguard offer a lot of protection and the two of them combined make for a threatening close combat unit, but they need a delivery method. Either a Veil of Darkness on the Overlord or a Night Scythe. I prefer Night Scythes because the scatter die is very whimsical. Plus, Night Scythes hurt things.

3. Tomb Blades benefit from Nebuloscopes and Shield Vanes. Most players run them with either Gauss or Particle Beamers. Gauss is nice and reliable whereas Beamers provide some much needed anti-horde, but you can't fire them if you Jink, so it's a trade-off. Play-test and see which one you like better.

4. I'm not a fan of Ghost Arks. I ran one for a while and have dropped it from all my lists. Being open-topped, they explode too easily and losing your Ark to AP1/2 on turn one has a huge effect on the game. In addition, GW's FAQ that if a transport Jinks embarked units must snap-shoot renders the Ark unuseable in my opinion. I would drop this for more units.

5. What's your Canoptek Harvest made up of? How many Wraiths? How many Scarabs? Any upgrades? A common way to run Wraiths is with Whip Coils and you can give your Spyder a Gloom Prism if you face lots of psychic.

6. A Judicator Battalion is way better than another Ghost Ark for the reasons above. Keep it!

7. Deathmarks are a high-risk high-reward unit. Sometimes they come down and completely annihilate something and sometimes they do nothing. I would try them out and see what you think. However, you need 8-10 in the unit if you want to have any sort of impact.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the response!

1) Was thinking veil of darkness to get the Lychguard in a bitter position. That's about all the points I have left over but I could drop a few immortals or something for the other upgrades you mentioned.

2) Like above don't have scythes yet ( and dont want to buy DFTS supplement) so was thinking of running veil.

5) min unit with whip coils

6) Thanks that puts my mind to easy about the unit! Any suggestions on what weapons to give praetorians.

Thank you for your time!

It really depends on your meta. Rods are the way to go in a 2+/3+ heavy meta (Marines, suit-heavy Tau, Eldar Aspect/Bike, Big Bug Nids, etc.) and Blades and Casters in a 4+ meta (Fire Warrior gun-lines, Orks, swarm-nids, Guard, etc.). I run one of each for the threat diversity. However, if you want to stick with one, Rods are probably more bang for your buck.
