Got a used Tyranids army to switch it up from my guard. Got tired of the usual gunline and hope for good objectives. Now I want to storm forward or deep strike, then eat biomass P:

I got:
3 tyrants, two with wings
3 fexes
1 mawloc
1 exocrine
1 lictor
2 zoanthropes
6 warriors
3 hive guard
20 genestealers
30 termagants
30 hormoguants

What would you list for now, what to try and sell? What would be worth adding?

P.s. I know I'm working with a low tier Dex.

heres a little guideline list:

flying hive tyrant wTL devs and grubs
flying hive tyrant wTL devs and grubs

zoan
zoan
lictor (or 3 guards with haywire)

3 warriors with stuff
3 warriors with stuff
15 gaunts 5-10 with devs
15 gaunts 5-10 with devs
15 hormas
15 hormas

mawloc
exocrine
dakkafex

should be around 1500 points. however i would highly recommend a tervigon(crushing claws and grubs) and then running the gaunts as one unit of 30 (10-15 of em with devs).
and while we're on the toppic of gaunts... get more of em

you should also check out the new genestealer suplement... its the only real semi effective way of running genestealers

also interesting is the malenthrope neurothrope (no need to hit) and the biovore artillery cluster (warriors and biovores)
if you go with CC fexes dont forget to give em adreneline glands

EDIT:

naaahhh sorry i meant the neurothrope

Malanthropes are solid, they're basically a tough venomthrope with T5 4W and synapse. They are fairly pricey from forge world, but most nid players make use of them or venoms in order to keep good cover on units that tend to have weak saves. If you screen your units with the little bugs you'll have 5+ cover on the little ones and 3+ on the guys behind. Anything footslogging should take advantage of this.

Tournament level lists tend to have 3-5 Flyrants base. These guys do everything, and pretty much single handedly allow tyranids to compete at a high level.

I do enjoy the tyrannocytes. If you drop say a tervigon on an objective that becomes quite hard to shift as it spawns more gaunts. Or the dimachaeron is pretty much the only useful CC MC the nids have access to, but once again its FW.

Starting off, rednoak's list was more or less what I was thinking. Other thoughts
How is the "endless swarm" formation + trygons in your meta?
Any thoughts on kit bashing an exocrine in a tervigon/tyrannofex?

Ordered more mawlocs. Will have 3 total so
2ea Hive tyrants w/ wings devourers egrubs (430)
2ea Malenceptors (170)
30ea Termagants w/ 15ea devourers (180)
Tervigon (195)
3ea Mawlocs (420)
Tyranocyte (100)

Comes to 1495 correct if wrong

After looking at formations:

CAD
460: 2ea HiveTyrants w/ Wings w/ 2sets TLdevourers-egrubs
130 5ea Genestealers + Broodlord
130: 5ea Genestealers + Broodlord
100 2ea Zoanthropes
280 2ea Mawlocs
260 TrygonPrime w/ Regeneration

EndlessSwarm
150 3x(10ea Hormogaunts)
136 2x(15ea Termagaunts w 2ea Devourers)
100 Warriors w/ 1ea Barbed Strangler

Comes to 1746. The plan run up with as much cover and pinning weapons/psy-powers. Any revived guants come through the trygon's burrow. Get around opponents objective secure with melee.

Might switch overcosted trygon prime with 2ea dakkafexes. Might switch zoes for venes. Depends on how much heavy vehicles and/or fearless out there.
