I was wondering what Necrons options against Flyers are these days? Now that the Death from the Skies update is here and all?

For the moment I have just one Night Scythe (or Doom Scythe) as a potential anti-air unit but they're only attack flyers so don't know.

Planning on my next investment to have something that can help me deal with flyers better, but should I get more Scythes or possibly a sentry pylon or doing anything else?

on the forum. Obviously

They don't have any. Unless you want to start investing in forgeworld that is.

Right now the only AA they have with the Death from the Skies rules are with Sentry Pylons (on with gauss, I think) and Pylons (a super heavy. Probably the only good necron superheavy, imo)

Technically the Obelisk is also an AA option, but its terrible; you are paying 300 points for a LoW that has no real offensive capability, and has a 1/6 chance of doing something to an enemy flyer.

Personally I don't have any problem with investing in FW material, as long as I don't incinerate my wallet in one swoop. Such a waste though that FW is the only potential option Necron players have for the moment, hopefully that'll get an update soon. And ye, Obelisk feels like a huge waste.

Would you recommend me on getting a sentry pylon then or possibly a pylon? (though a pylon might be a too big addition for me for the moment, but I admit it would look amazing)

A sentry pylon is probably all you need. Pylons are pretty good, but its still a big chunk of points and money.

Thanks for the help! A sentry pylon it will probably be then and blast those flyers off the skies
