Seems solid for a casual Tyranid list. Definetly drop the fleshborer hive for acid spray and elctroshock grubs. Only way to run a T-Fex.

Why would I want a S6 AP4 backwards template instead of 20 S4 AP 5 shots at 18"?

With the volume of fire coming out of your hive tyrants I assume that you'll want some ignores cover in there too

Let's say you shoot at marines. Hit with 10, wound with 5, kill 1-2 marines. Not sure what you mean by backwards template... but a torrent flamer comes out 12" and then place the template and it ignore cover and auto hits and wounds on 2's vs T4. It also pairs well with the egrubs as you are looking at moving this beast forward.

Cheese? Naw, you have warriors. you need more cheese depending on the type of games you play. I'd get a venomthropw or malanthrope in there to give your creatures shrouded.
