So, I wanted to throw a fun list out there I have been thinking about. And wanted to know what you guys think.

Inquisitor
-Autothrusters
-TIE/v1

Whisper
-Advanced Cloaking Device
-Veteran Instincts

Echo
-Advanced Cloaking Device
-Veteran Instincts

100 Points.

Figured that the Inquisitor would hang more towards the back early game while Whisper and Echo do their thing. Hopefully forcing my opponent into a decision of trying to go out if their way to get the Inquisitor and weaken the pack for the Phantoms, or take on the Phantoms and be exposed to long range shots from the Inquisitor. Or I could just take the whole Inquisition out of the list and take Tetran Cowall with Autothrusters and Veteran Instincts instead and try to get Initiative.

I was also thinking of another build with Mauler Mithel, Whisper and Echo. Opens up quite a few more options with the Phantoms.

You might be trying to squeeze too much into one list. In particular, the Inquisitor benefits greatly from having Push The Limit, and your Phantoms are lean on upgrades (they benefit greatly from Fire Control System, Agent Kallus, Intelligence Agent, etc.).

I would take one of two approaches:

1) Replace The Inquisitor. Omega Leader in particular is just a few points cheaper, and is a natural fit with Phantoms. He helps counter PS10+ aces who would wreck your phantoms before they can re-cloak. Zeta Leader is another good choice, which would free up enough points to fully equip the Phantoms. Tetran Cowall is not a good choice, but you could look into using Turr Phenir (though you would lose out on an on initiative bid).

2) Replace one of the Phantoms. You have somewhere between 25-31 points to play with depending on how you outfit your phantom (and whether you use Echo or Whisper). A cheap Vader, Omega Leader, or generic TIE Defender X7 would be my recommendation, but there are many imperial pilots at this point level.

Hmm fair enough, it is tough. I really wish they wouldn't have made it so hard to fit Phantoms into a list. Probably one of the coolest looking ships in my opinion.

You could just try:

4x Sigma Squadron Pilots. 100 points.

Might be fun to play.

I have heard that a list like that is a real hoot to play. I will have to try and proxy that and see how it plays.
