As the title suggests, I'm looking to see if there are any players of Wrath of Kings in NoVA. I love the look of the models, and I've been flipping through the rules, but the last thing I want to do is get into another game with no love in the area as I've already been bitten by Dust, Malifaux, and Infinity groups that flaked out. The last thing I want to do is drop yet more money into a game nobody ends up playing.

Hopefully I'll hear from someone, but if not at least I won't be out $100 buying minis that just end up collecting dust.

"I have concluded through careful empirical analysis and much thought that somebody is looking out for me, keeping track of what I think about things, forgiving me when I do less than I ought, giving me strength to shoot for more than I think I am capable of. I believe they know everything that I do and think, and they still love me. And I’ve concluded, after careful consideration, that this person keeping score is me." -Adam Savage

At the very least it will have a good presence at this year's Nova Open. That's where I got most of my WoK stuff and I really like the game. Unfortunately I live in Florida!

I've seen them on the Open's website, but only a mention that CMoN will be there. Can anyone confirm that they will indeed be doing an event? Tickets to the Open are a bit pricey for me, so I don't want to show up only to be let down. I'm not a big tournament player outside of casual X-Wing, so that may be the only draw for me.

The game is awesome and superior to AOS in every aspect of the game. As for flaked out it does happen, my local area flaked on Batman, Infinity, and Marvel. I got hit by batman but I passed on infinity. the Xmen I got may just be painted for fun and I'll still be happy.

Never mind, I was able to hunt the events down.

In addition to the events, they also had demo games running at NOVA last year and I got a starter army in my SuperNOVA swag bag.

I then grabbed a hardbound rulebook and a couple of boxes right there. It's a fantastic game (probably my favorite skirmish/wargame). Shame the models are crummy PVC with horrific mold lines.

Your models had bad detail/mold lines? I'm almost done painting the Hadross faction and I generally found them to be high quality. The Deepmen were a little soft but that's about it.
