For an upcoming Tank Shock - the Renegade Foundries battle I'll be going up against my favourite frenemy, the Tau again with my Solar Auxilia. I've decided, with the consent of my opponent, to go for a nicely themed 1250 pts Onslaught force led by three tank commanders, which I know isn't normally allowed, but we're taking the fluffy route here, plus I don't get to roll for a warlord trait, so it all evens out, more or less.

One of the tanks commandeered by a tank commander in this army is a Malcador with battle cannon, demolisher cannon, autocannon sponsons, armoured ceramite and siege armour.

So, the big question now is, what USR should I tack onto this unit? The other two commanders have already been sorted out, with the Vanquisher having Tank Hunters and the Malcador Infernus with Scout & Move Through Cover, I'm just stumped on what would be the best fit for the Malcador.

Right here, at the moment

Precision shots is useless for a tank that predominantly blasts
Tau like their MCs, so monster hunter is a good shout

I'd say monster hunter or preferred enemy (infantry). Rerolling those ones should help get wounds down, and will help thin out pathfinders and even battlesuits.

It depends what you're expecting - mostly mech (tank hunter), mostly battlesuits (preferred enemy), mostly heavy battlesuits (monster hunter), or what.

Why did you give the Infernus Scout and Move Through Cover? It doesn't need to get close and the Preferred Enemy (Infantry) should net you rerolls with Chem Ammo.

I'd figure I use the scout move to get a bit closer to his lines, giving me an even better chance at blowing away some of his units. Also, I don't have the points for Chemical Ammunition, due to armoured ceramite being in high demand against this opponent.
