I am getting back into modelling and painting after taking a few years off. I have some stuff to finish painting and some new stuff that make and paint. I decided to start my painting off again with a cygnar jack. My unpainted mini's list is quite long and I added some more stuff to it... As always looking for comments and suggestions on the minis!

I will be adding images of the my first cygnar jack, I feel like it's missing something besides a wash. So looking for feedback to bring this guy together.

Update incoming

I spent more time on my charger and started basing up the lancer and Ironclad. I have enjoyed getting back into the hobby. I am thinking of picking out the rivets in the armor with either some gunmetal or maybe black.
The back engine area needs some work as well. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
It does need some more shading and highlights, im gonna set this guy aside for a bit and think on it. I also have new basing material on order to bring the base together.

Back

More stuff on the way

Some HQ's I dug up, I started these guys like 4 years ago before I moved. TIme to get em painted up.

So I have been base-coating and priming some assorted models this week. I ordered some more basing material to improve the bases on the cygnar jacks, now for some planning. I did some more detail work on cygnar jacks as well.
I added some gunmetal/silver, brass/gold and some black to the jacks. The models look a little more balanced, I will be adding some basing rubble and grass soon. I really should get another led lamp to help with my indoor picture taking as well.

Some basecoating on my next batch of minis. This guys look so messy right now but once you get everything on the mini they can look fantastic. I still enjoy that feeling of tying something together from rough messy basecoats to nice detail work.

Thanks for browsing and leave in C&C if you have anything.

waaagghh on!

So I am back again. Between some work trips and a bit summer vacation, its been a few weeks since I did any painting or modeling. I've been trying out some basing materials, rubble, GW snowy paint thingy, and snow flock. I also have built and primmed the Dark Vengence kit. I was trying out a wet palette, I am still figuring out that process. I'm was adding to much water to make of the dry desert heat where I live and ended up thinning my dark green a bit much and it went on like crap on a couple of Dark Angels I was painting. Any advice on wet Palettes? I also bought a Blood Angel battleforce to kitbash with some chaosy bits I have saved. I did a quick kitbash with BA captain and some chaos bits, now I am thinking of getting some of the newer AOS khorne minis to make some fallen BA's as I build up/ restart my khorne/renegade force.

I used a chaos Plasma pistol, front of chest bit with chainmail from the chaos LR, 1 shoulder pad and helmet from the raptor kit to change him up a bit.

a first go at a rubble/snowy base. Any advice on getting flock, and rubble to stick better to the base?

Looking at the newer Blood Angel klts I bought, I hope/can't wait for some updated chaos kits. Especially if the AOS/ DV chaosy kits are the direction they are headed. A man can pray to the many faced god right?
