Okay I see!
So are Carcharodons able to use the units within the Vanilla SM Codex? And can they reference AoD supplement, (i.e. formations)

Charcadons can be used in 7th edition, the changes aren't that much that it makes it impossible to use.
As for formations from AoD they should be fine to use, unless they are chapter specific ones. For example only Ravenguard can use the Talon strike force.
They are fine to use all the vanilla stuff from the codex, including the Gladius.

Journeyman Inquisitor with Visions of the Warp
|
1. May reroll attacks/wounds if the Jaws soundtrack is playing
2. Bite attack, confers shred against Tau
3. "Ampullae of Lorenzini", within 6" removes Stealth and Shrouded bonuses from enemies
4. Battle Brothers downgraded to Allies of Convenience, sharks aren't really terribly social
5. 12" move in water, cannot move on land
That's the big ones IIRC.
