So the game contents for silver tower can be found on ebay for like 20 bucks.
I was wondering how easily the game could be adapted to different minis?
If I can pick up the game for like 20 or 30 dollars and use minis that I already have I might be willing to try that.

Im sure some of the fluff would be lost and need reconfigured but mechanics wise what do you think?

As long as you can keep track of what counts as what, it would be very easy to do that.

I tried pricing out Reaper Minis plastics (Bones line) to do just that. What I figured out was I would be spending only about twenty or thirty bucks less even considering $120 with free shipping for the actual full game with minis. But then I have very few fantasy minis.

If you mean counts-as, then I don't see any problems. If you mean "can I do a necromancer dungeon crawl against the undying hordes" then it'd probably take a fair bit of work.
Heroes should be all good as you have the full available range in the app, but the bad guy stats will involve a lot of tinkering.

I think it would be fairly easy to get a 'counts as' going. Game is a lot of fun, I highly recommend it.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Counts as is fine and additionally the silver tower app has a ton of rules for the various heroes in AOS.

Here is a question. Who is going to stop you from using "counts as"?

I am a big believer in using "counts as" in any game.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

You'd think. But legends tell of a far worse gathering. Since time immemorial (c2008) they have waited.
Dare you look in the mirror and say "counts as" thrice?
Dare you face the Manticarecheaperandbetter Men?

LOL

You do know that GW themselves are big on using "counts as" they said it themselves, as long as they are Citadel or Forge World minis.
