Hi Dakka, I'm looking for some feedback on how viable you think this list is before splashing out on a significant number of models... The army is basically 2 under equipped battle companies squished into one, abusing free equipment as much as possible to try and make up for the lack of damage output.

The list:

Gladius (Ultramarines battle company - 1105 points)

Core/2 demi companies

Captain Centos
Chaplain (plain)
6x Tactical squad (with meltagun and free drop pod)
2x Assault squad (with free drop pod, one with imperial space marine anniversary guy)
2x Devastator squad (with free drop pod)

Auxillary/10th company

3x Scout squad (boltguns)

Blackmanes (Space Wolves formation - 745 points)

Wolf Guard Battle Leader (meltabomb)
4x Grey Hunters (with meltagun and free drop pod)
3x Blood Claws (with free drop pod)
1x Wolf Guard (the power armour flavour, with free drop pod)
1x Long Fangs (with free drop pod)
1x Wolf Scouts (bolt pistols and chainswords)

Total 1850 points, 23 squads, 19 transports, 3 independent characters (110 marines total)

How I would play it:

14 pods arrive turn one (all the Blackmanes, half of the Ultras), plus the deployed scouts to give me good table coverage. I'll try and ration the deployment of characters and special issue guns to keep at least something back to react to my opponent - otherwise it's a case of throw meltas at vehicles, have a go at a high value target with the disintegration gun, and swarm all objectives with an ork horde sized marine force.

I'm relying on an epic amount of target overload to get my wins - do you think this is good enough to forgo the obvious choices available to marines/wolves such as grav, thunderwolves and psychic ability? And can you think of any lists out there with the damage output to eat through enough this many units?

Disclaimer - made with battlescribe so forgive me if there are any mistakes!
