I'll be playing a league match on Wednesday, against our White Scars chap.
I've already made a list in anticipation, but as I've never faced the Scars before, I'm none too sure about what to expect, beyond alot of Biker cavalry.

It'll either be 1000, 1250, or 1500 pts, so I've fiddled with the list accordingly:

-1000 pts-

Elimination Maniple

2 3-Man Kataphron Destroyers
W/ Grav cannons and Cognis flamers.
(360 pts)

1 Kastelan maniple
W/ TL Heavy Phosphor blasters, and carapace mounted Heavy Phosphor blasters.
(320 pts)

Dominus Maniple

1 Tech priest Dominus
W/ Eradication ray.
(120 pts)

1 5-Man Rangers
W/ 2 Arc rifles, Phosphor blast pistol, Taser goad.
(110 pts)

1 Dunecrawler
W/ Eradication beamer.
(90 pts)

----------
-1250 pts-

Upgrade Ranger squad to 10-Man, get another Arc rifle, and give the Alpha Arkhan's divinator.
(+70 pts)

Add another Kastelan Robot and Datasmith to the Kastelan Maniple, (Phosphor bot), and give the Tech priest a Conversion field.
(+180pts)

----------
-1500 pts-

Instead of making the Rangers 10-Man, get another Kastelan Maniple w/ the Phosphor gubbinzes.
(+320 pts)

----------

First thing I thought when Bikes came to mind is the Jinking and numerous assaults, giving the impression that the Elimination Maniple is perfect against the Scars.
Is it, though?

-Super special bonus question:-
Will I have some sort of terrifying mutilation, worthy of a low-budget horror film, done to my gentlemanly geebling if I field a Sagittar on a 4x4 table?

I'm fairly new to White Scars, but I almost went in for AdMech myself so I'll take a shot here. It looks like a pretty potent anti-MEQ list for sure. If he throws lots of grav bikers your way, the phosphor and grav you've got in the shooting phase and the flamers and power fists in assault should do the trick.

With the Kastelans, he could opt for firing grav from scouted transports to protect against the bounced shots, or go big on Scouts and count on sniper fire to offset their toughness. White Scars have a cool formation focused on pinning tests and Leadership penalties, so he could try to neutralize them that way.

The Kataphrons will be great targets for Typhoon launchers on Landspeeders or non-upgraded HB attack bikes, assuming he sees that he should keep his bikes away from them. Again, scouted transports will soak a round of your grav fire from those nasty guns and give him a second shot at you. Your arc rifles and conversion weapons will be a problem for him if he goes for transports over bikes, but there isn't so much of it he can't screen with terrain a bit.

Basically, if he brings a big bike spam list and tries to ram it down your throat he may be screwed, but if he brings some of the other stuff White Scars have to offer, he may be able to capitalize on your low model count and on his ability to dictate the flow of battle with his mobility.
