[Yes; 30k army, but for use in 40k games, against 40k armies, hence why it's here]
1500 bracket's now opened for my local tournament, which makes using my Taghmata a little tastier. A bit of a choke fielding robots in a 750.
I've noticed a distinct lack in anti-tank gear being fielded by my opponents, and now that they suspect a bundle of robots and metal men from me; not 6 tanks that are hard to pop.
(I should note: I don't actually own 6 Krios [or even 1]. This is a list I could end up using if I flog my next pay cheque on tanks, but no-way am I straight up getting 6 Krios. I'll bag some Rhinos or something)
This will be used on 4x4 tables, and I intend on being very assertive with the tanks.
But first: Should I really be using the two Reductor exclusive tanks instead of the Krios?
----------
3 2-Man Krios battle tank Squadrons
w/ Extra Armour and Anbaric Claws
[870 pts]
2 3-man Vanilla Thallax
[270 pts]
1 Magos Reductor
w/ 2 Cyber-Occularis and a Servo-arm
[165 pts]
1 Tech-priest Auxilia
w/ Another Adept, 4 more Servo-automata.
Both Adepts get Conversion Beamers, and all 8 Servos get Flamers.
[195 pts]
If I'm up against tanks, I'll take off the Servo-arm from the Magos, along with 4 of the Flamer automata, and upgrade two of the Krios to Venators.
----------
I can imagine this to be even more daunting than facing my dreamt 9 Onager Dunecrawler list (1k, bound!).
One of the main reasons for this is the ability to wall-in my opponent somewhere. Kinda like I'm a Gaunt Summoner gakking about with the walls of my tower.
Just thinking of the possibilities makes me giddy. Very abusable on a 4x4 table.
Thallax will be used to simply grab objectives. I don't plan on using their guns much; just their jetpacks.
Auxilia are there to provide much-needed adaptable firepower, with the flamers to turn my tank coups into ovens.
Tau and chips, anyone?
