One of these guys has to be either a naked Centurion or a Chaplain to fit the army special rule (the one that makes choosing HQs difficult). I'd just as soon bring Zardu Layak instead of the Diabolist (he gets you psychic ML2, the ability to summon daemons and the ability to bring Ashen Circle as troops if he's the warlord). If you go that route, I'd change the praetor or Master of Signal to a Chaplain with some nice upgrades and jump pack to help out the Ashen Circle.

ELITES

Cataphractii Terminator Squad
- Power Sword
- Heavy Flamer

Mhara Gal Tainted Dreadnought
- Twin linked lascannon
- Warpfire plasma cannon
- Drop pod

Mortis Pattern Contemptor Dreadnought
- Dual kheres assault cannons
- Cyclone missile launcher
- Drop pod

Contemptor Dreadnought
- Multi-melta
- Drop pod

I'd take that las cannon on the Mhara Gal and put the power fist back on. The plasma cannon is going to get work done on infantry and he mostly wants to be in close combat anyway. I'd probably hold off on Terminators as well, or give them an Anvillus to scoot around in. The Mortis is great, love it. The other Contemptor could use the las cannon from the Mhara Gal and lose the pod to have something on the board shooting at stuff from across the table, or if you want to keep the pod, give it another fist so it can punch all the things. If you don't want to do either, the melta is just fine.

TROOPS

Gal Vorbak Dark Brethren (5)
- 2 meltaguns
- Power weapon (dark martyr)
- Artificer armour (dark martyr)
- Dark Channelling

Legion Tactical Squad (10)
- Combat blade
- Nuncio vox
- Legion vexilla
- Meltagun
- Dark channelling
- Drop pod

Legion Tactical Squad (10)
- Combat blade
- Nuncio vox
- Legion vexilla
- Meltagun
- Heavy Bolter
- Dark channelling
- Drop pod

Legion Recon Squad (5)
- Artificer armour
- Sniper (5)
- Cameleoline (5)

10 Bloodletters of Khorne

This section is just not legal right now. Gal Vorbak can only take one special weapon per 5 dudes and don't have access to Dark Channeling (they already rolled a 6 and got turned into daemons, basically), tactical squads can't have special weapons, recon squad has to be in a pod as per your RoW choice and how are you getting Bloodletters as troops?

As for suggestions to improve this section:

I'd give the Dark Martyr a power fist instead of power sword (he's got T5, 2 wounds, artificer armor and a daemon save to keep alive long enough to swing back with his S10 power fist attacks).
The Legion Tactical squads (minus special weapons) are good. WB don't need vexillas because our morale on 3d6 pick the lowest is an awesome rule, so you can save points by dropping those. Once on the table, the nuncio vox will absolutely help the incoming pods, so I like those. Dark Channeling is a bit risky, but if you like it then you should keep it.
Recon Squad needs a pod as per the RoW (if it can take a rhino transport, it needs to take a pod). I'd just as soon leave them at home since they're not going to add much to the army anyway. Maybe try to find some points for a support squad.
How did bloodletters get here?

FAST ATTACK

Ashen Circle (5)
- 5 power axes

Legion Seeker Squad (10)
- 5 Combi plasma
- 5 Combi meltas
- Drop pod

I like it. As I mentioned earlier, if you bring Zardu Layak and make him the warlord then your Ashen Circle can count as a Troops choice!
I assume the Master of Signal was going to accompany the seeker squad?

HEAVY SUPPORT

Legion Heavy Support Squad (10)
- 5 Missile launchers
- Augury scanner
- Drop pod

I'm not super sold on this. There are better heavy support choices for this RoW. Personally, I grabbed two predators with heavy conversion beamers so I could have something on the table to put pressure down where I needed it before my pods come down.

Extreaminatus,

Firstly, thank you for the insight and guidelines. I have made several necessary amendments based on your recommendations.

I do however have a few questions:

1. I intend on running the Master of Siganls with either my seeker or heavy support teams depending on the scenario (BS5 MLs for anti-tank) with this in mind should I drop the Diabolist or MoS for a Chaplain? And also, what unit(s) does a Chaplain work best with? And does the Centurion have to be vanilla?!!!! LOL

2. Can I field tanks in a Serrated Sons AL? I thought everything had to be in drop pods?

3. I will be using Zardu as my Praetor model, can I field Zardu in a Serrated Suns RoW AL? As I thought he had his own RoW for the Unspeaking?

4. Can I use assault marines as Ashen Circle? (I prefer the mk.iv models)

5. As I thought I couldn't field tanks I am trying to include as much anti-tank as possible hence the LCs, MMs & Heavy Support Squad.

Yes, the Centurion has to be Vanilla, because he ceases to be a Centurion once upgraded to be a Consul. He already suggested using the Chaplain with the Ashen Circle.

Infantry models must be in Drop Pods, Deep Strike Reserve, or a Flyer. But there are no restrictions on tanks.

3. I will be using Zardu as my Praetor model, can I field Zardu in a Serrated Suns RoW AL? As I thought he had his own RoW for the Unspeaking?

Zardu can be used, there is no limitation on him being taken, also he doesnt have his own RoW, he has a Warlord ability that allows Ashen Circle as troops, but you must buy them Dark Channeling.

4. Can I use assault marines as Ashen Circle? (I prefer the mk.iv models)

As long as they have the correct Wargear.

5. As I thought I couldn't field tanks I am trying to include as much anti-tank as possible hence the LCs, MMs & Heavy Support Squad.

There is no limit on tanks in the Serrated Suns RoW. Only on immoblie units (Sentry Guns), Allies and Fortifications.

1) Honestly? If you want the Master of Signals with your seekers or heavy support, I'd just replace your Praetor with Zardu. If you do that, it meets the Diabolist requirement for Dark Chaneling which means your current Diabolist can now either be a vanilla Centurion (yes, has to be vanilla) or a Chaplain. Also, he gets you a ML2 daemon psyker with access to Maelific Daemonology to summon daemons and buff daemons (he gets access to pyromancy too, but who cares), which is something no other legion gets to do as far as I can recall.

Chaplains go great with melee squads since they come stock with a power weapon and the zealot special rule. You can give him artificer armor and a refractor field for some tankiness, too. If you go that route, I'd suggest putting him with your Ashen Circle (give him a jump pack, obviously) and a power weapon of your choosing and let him go to town in melee.

2) As far as I know, you can run tanks. The only things that HAVE to be in pods is infantry that can normally take a Rhino as a dedicated transport.

3) Yes, you can field Zardu in Last of the Serrated Sun. I don't think he has his own special RoW, but again, if he is your warlord, Ashen Circle become troops. He also lets you take daemons as allies (which you can't bring with this RoW, which makes his ability to summon them in that much more useful).

4) Rule of Cool. If they look the part, are equipped with similar looking weapons and are the correct size, only a true neckbeard would raise a stink about it. Personally, I'd be fine with that.

5) Anti-tank can be super important, but since you're putting all your dreads in pods, you're going to be a wasting a lot of the benefits from the las cannons (long range). The melta dread is fine as is since you want it in close, but armoured ceramite is super common in 30k, so you may not get the mileage out of it you normally would in 40k (hence the suggestion of two power fists. Or a chain fist would be cool, too).

Oh, and your terminators! I would switch them to Tartaros pattern armor to make use of our super sweet +1 to combat resolution and sweeping advance bonus. And if you're worried about anti-tank, give them a chain fist or two. Personally, in my 3000 point list, I decided to fill up my last points with a 5 man squad in an Anvillus with power fists (chain fist on the sarge) and volkite chargers with Tartaros armor. They drop in, shoot up a nearby infantry squad, get out the next turn to maybe punch a vehicle to death.
