New player here, building nids atm. Looking for the cases that are the most intelligent (cost wise) that will fit a huge army of nids, and their weird shapes... Money really isnt much of a problem, but, as always, I'd love to save money for more minis :p
The googs fails me today

There are a number of companies that sell bespoke foam. KR Multicase and Battlefoam are two of the big ones. Feldhar and Sabol are two others.
For nids, with their wacky shapes and spiky bits, you might want to look into magnetization. It’s not without it’s own complications, but can be done with a bag-o-magnets and a cookie sheet. I think there are companies that make cases specifically for this type of set up, but I don’t know any names off the top of my head.
In general, I’m a huge fan of KR. But I don’t play nids. Their softer foam might be more likely to snag on claws and spikes. But on the same hand, can stretch a little to accommodate odd builds.

Would i want one that has foam that "moves" like the citadel one, or battle foams specifically made for nid?

The KR stuff is good. Expensive but the bag cases are top quality, and not like cheapo Amazon/ebay stuff. Think Lowe Alpine quality.
However some foam isn't very well suited to some models and use up unrealistic space. The Flyrant foam is bad, but Warriors, Zoans, Venoms, Tervigon, etc cutouts are great.
They have a turd website, but ordering is really reliable and trustworthy. The foam is softer than Battlefoam, plus they're UK based.

Are there any alternatives to large cases where quality meets price at a decent rate? ($100-125)

The reason I picked KR when I was looking into cases a few years ago was IMHO they were at the balance point between cost and quality. Obviously this is a very subjective thing. You could pay less, but generally didn’t get the custom cutouts. Just slots and pluck foam. You could pay more for battlefoam, but I had heard a few bad things about the company (not necessarily the product) and I didn’t think it was worth the extra money over KR for the advantages they offered.
The zig-zag stuff GW is putting out these days looks rather nice. Good for if you have odd sized stuff, or switch up your army a lot. That said, I’ve not seen it personally to recommend it, and it does have the classic GW price markup. I know at least one other company is making a similar product, but IIRC they are a small/new company, so can’t speak for them.

Apologies thought you were UK based. The KR is ready to go, not sure about Battlefoam.
There are other companies but generally do pick and pluck. Which as you are aware isn't the best fitting for Nids sometimes.
The cheapest way is just a large strong box with home made seperated compartments using plastic, wood, card sheets. Buy cheap foam, possibly funiture replacement foam off ebay and cut it up.
This question comes up a lot so dakka search may bring up ideas or suggestions not covered by further replies.

Is the KR the largest?
Currently im looking into Battlefoam XL 1520... Half pluck, and go from there.
Any opinion on this?
The KR 6 wheeled one (biggest one) is UK and EU only :(

How big an army are we talking about? How often does it all need to be dragged to the store? Do you need a case that big?
I own a Kaiser 3. It’s larger then I need most of the time. If I had it to do over, I would have picked up a Kaiser 2 instead. If money wasn’t an object, I’d get both a 2 and a 3. But the point of the KR system is not to have a case for everything, but enough foam and boxes. The case for only for what needs to go to the FLGS.
What size game do you normally play? What does you list look like and how does it pack? How often to you change your list?
In general, I’d suggest you take advantage of the custom foam from companies that offer it, rather then pluck. That said, for minis as wildly mutable as tyranids, pluck might be the safer bet.
