Hi All,

I am getting back into the game and want to build IG! As of now I just want to spend 1000pts worth. Here is the list I was thinking of, could you guys let me know what you think? Any changes? scrapped all together?

I will be playing my buddy's eldar alot... he doesnt run anything to cheesy...Just some guardians, warp spiders, Striking Scorpions, Wave serpents w/ fire dragons, No wraiths besides 1 WL...ELDAR SCUM..... doesnt matter what he uses, they will all be good

Here is the list....

CAD - Militarum Temptus

1x Commisar(min pts)

2x 5 man units of Scions


Formation (Emperor's Wrath Artillery Company)

1x Basilisk Battery
1x Basilisk Battery

1x Company Command Squad w/ Company Commander as Warlord
------Chimera w/ camo netting

1x Enginseer w/ servitor servo-arm

1x Manticore

(YAY IGNORE COVER)


Formation Detachment (Armoured Shield) -- this is the start collecting formation...

1x LM Battle Tank w/ battle cannon

10x Infantry Squad w/ flamer (standing behind the LM to get the 4+ cover)

1x Officio Perfectus Commisar

I don't even know what the rules are for the new tempestus start collecting box however for the price of the models (40% off) and the fact it's nearly the exact same list you have in that CAD with a taurox . You may as well just take that formation since the scions really need a transport and extra protection.
It will save you a ton of cash and allow you to form a complete 1000pt list with most rules for $250.

Also on the AM start colleciting box you do not need to stand behind the tank for the 4+ cover you can stand in front of it as long as a model in the unit is within 6in of the leman Russ the entire squad recieved 4+ cover.

However for additional feedback on your list.
You need valdovs cane it's a 10pt relic for your company commander that allows him to issues orders with only failures on. Double 1 rolls. The fact the artillery are ld7 means you will fail them half the time without it.

You need a vox caster on the tempestus or the infantry squads if you ever want to try for twinlinked rule on the artillery formation.

So I'm not sure how you will fit that taurox in the list and the scions can really use it but you might not be able too under 1000 pts buy take valdovs cane and the vox.

Honestly not a bad list I would however build the tank as an Exterminator With Lascannon OR Eradicator with lascannon ..
scrape a couple more points to buy a MoO Battle cannon on the move is lackluster at best..
