I've wanted to do a Chaos army for a while but couldn't settle on a faction - CSM, renegades etc. and in the end I decided that instead of limiting myself to one, I'd draw from multiple sources - which also embodies the way a warband is formed.
I chose units that I love the idea of rather than choosing them for their effectiveness.
Lost and the Damned CAD
Allied Crimson Slaughter
Allied Dark Mechanicus (Cult Mechanicus)
Inquisition Detachment
Assassinorum Detachment
Lost and Damned -
Renegade Command Squad w/ Carapace Armour, (Warlord) Arch Demagogue w/ No Chaos Covenant, Shock Legion Taskmaster, Carapace, Power Fist, Bolt Pistol+ Refractor field.
Renegade Ogryn Brutes x2 w/ Carapace Armour + Dedication to Nurgle
Renegade Ogryn Brutes x2 w/ Carapace Armour + Dedication to Nurgle
LOW - 3x Giant Chaos Spawn
Allied Crimson Slaughter
Sorcerer w/ prophet of the voices, +2ML + mark of Tzeentech, terminator armour w/ force stave + combi-bolter.
Possessed x5 w/ Mark of Slaneesh + Icon of Excess
Allied Dark Mechanicus
Dominus w/ Conversion Field
Kataphron Breachers x3
Kastelan Robot Maniple w/ all Phosphor Blaster upgrades + conversion field on datasmith.
Inquisition Detachment
Malleus Inquisitor w/ Power Armour + 2x Daemonblades
Henchmen Squad - 12x Daemonhosts
Assassinorum Detachment
Eversor Assassin
---------------------------------------------------
Despite all the rolling for bonuses this list is quite simple in its execution; the Sorceror would attempt to summon Daemons to support my army. The Dark Mechanicus would provide the ranged support. Everything else focuses on getting into CC.
Hopefully there are enough threats to mess with my opponent's target priority.
Thoughts? Opinions? Constructive Criticism?
Thanks
