Hi all! I'm thinking of tossing something together so I can play at local events without HAVING to use my 30k guys as CSM or SM. I want this list to be mostly fluffy, but I'd still like it to hold it's own at local tournaments (maybe not winning, but not dead last hopefully). Anywho, here's the list:
Spoiler:
+++ Orks - Pirates! .... And jet packs (1850pts) +++
++ Orks: Codex (2014) (Ork Great Waaagh! Detachment) (1700pts) ++
The General Idea is that the Big Mek and Warboss run with the deffkoptas, while everything else bull rushes the front lines. Grots + lootas hold backfield objective.
Any C&C is appreciated as I'm still learning orks.
I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.
Putting the biker warboss in with deffkopters is quite good but I think you would do better with a biker pain boy rather than a KKF mek. 5+ FNP works for you both against shooting and in close combat whereas the KFF only works against shooting and competes with the better cover save you can get from jinking and your 4+ armour save. If you take a painboy you don't really need a cybork body as it doesn't stack and so will only be worth its points when the painboy dies.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about that! How does this look then:

++ Orks: Codex (2014) (Ork Great Waaagh! Detachment) (1705pts) ++
+ HQ (190pts) +
Boss Zagstruk, Da Boss (65pts)
Warboss (125pts) [Bosspole, Gift: Warboss Gazbag's Blitzbike, Power Klaw, Shoota]
Dropping the big mek for the pain boy gave me the points for either: 5 more stormboyz, OR another grot squad + bosspoles on both of my stormboyz squads.

first off your list is illigal you cant normally ally with yourself, so u'll need a second CAD
anyway... your list isnt bad. its not very competitive but you should have some fun playing it
just a couple of things to improve: 1. dont get the unique bike. get a regular one and give the warboss a lucky stikk 2. dont use megablastaz, TL rokkits are way better. the ap2 isnt worth losing TL 3. get rid of some killsaws and position the koptaz without a klaw up front so they can soak up some damage 4. use the freed up point to buy bosspoles for nobs and rams for all trukks. this is mandatory 5. upgrade one loota to a mek 6. i wouldnt use the great waagh CAD it got some really bad special rules that will hinder you more than help
my suggetion:
Spoiler:
+++ Orks - Pirates! .... And jet packs (1847pts) +++
++ CAD 1 ++
+ HQ + Boss Zagstruk, Da Boss (65pts)
Warboss (140pts) [Bosspole, Gift: stikk, Power Klaw, Shoota, bike]
mek 15 (put em into a trukk mob to soak up challenges for the pk nob) mek 15
btw since you are already taking zagstruk and 28 stormboyz... why not field the vulcha skwad? its got a couple of nice rules and would only be a very minor change to your list.

Thanks!
1) I agree on the ally thing, in the second list I posted, it was changed to a painboy + 2 grot squads in a CAD. Same goes for the bosspole issue 2) I agree on the CAD thing, just happened to be hte one I clicked on when I started building the list And as to the reason I'm not using the vulcha skwad: I didn't know I could take it outside of the Great WAAGH! detachement (30k player, I don't gotta deal with formation shenanigans )
3) Why no on the bike? At first I did have the lucky stick, but a better jink save, and (when needed) a better gun is pretty nice. As is the extra speed.
4) for the same cost, is the Rokkitlauncha/KMB thing really that vital? (not to sound snarky, honestly curious)
5) Why the mek in the loota squad?

vulka skwad:
its just a normal formation (not part of a decurion style detatchment). you can always bring a "normal" formation as part of an battleforged army.
bitzbike vs stikk:
the blitzbike only gives you an extra 6" while turboboosting and a better gun (not TL though). the +1 coversave while boosting is part of any orkbike.
the luckystick on the other hand lets you reroll your coversave (giving you essentially a 3+/2+ save) and also lets you also reroll missed to hits rolls in combat (you are almost garanteed to wound/pen 4 times)
all in all the luckystikk gives you way better options (offensively and defensively) not to mention the +1WS for the entire mob.
megablasta vs TL rokkit
its just simple mathhammer lets say 6 koptaz shoot at a AV 12 vehicle
megablasta: 2 hits, 0,66 pens
TL rokkit: 3,33 hits, 1,11pens
the megablasta has a higher potential to wreck a vehicle due to ap2 but on the otherhand its also likely to kill a kopta due to getshot.
vs infantry the megablasta is only superior if facing 2+ AS's
as a general rule.... if you know u're facing alot of 2+ AS's (riptide parade or deathwing) then go with the megablasta for all other purposes the increased to hit chance of the TL rokkit outweighs the ap2 by far.
mek in lootamob:
because of the mobrule. if a lootamob fails a moralcheck it runs... (most times off the board) with a mek you have a 2/3 chance that they'll stay (mobrule 2-3 result: breaking heads, since the mek is a character)
