So, I'm new to painting, warhammer, and typically terrible at art. Its a WIP :-)

Used is: Primer: Army Painter Alien Purple

Brown: VX-88

Green: Moot Green

Wash: Agrax Earthshade

Gun: Rhinox Hide (Will prob use this for feathering on the back, though)

I would like to know some of the following:

1) How Can i make the purple have a smidgen of red/pink for a "fleshy" appearance?

2) What color should the Weapons be? I just slapped Rhinox on this one because im trying things and learning...

3) What color would be recommended for the dirt beneath the unit, given most dont have texture underneath?

4) I'll need a Fourth/Fifth color for highlights and things on bigger ones, Maybe a Lilac and a Pink? Any recommendations on color here?

5) For Claws and Spikes, I've tried using Ushabti Bone and Karak Stone, but both are too... "Brown" for what I'm looking for. Is there a "Tan/Bone" color thats lighter? Or How would I make the blades a bit more "white" than what the above 2 colors provide?

This forum is to provide a place for people to show off their finished (painted) works. Please don't post any general questions when starting a thread, use the main painting and modeling forum for that instead.

Do you know of an existing thread in the general Painting and Modeling forum that features (only) pictures of finished models that is probably more at home in this forum? Then please contact a moderator via PM to have it moved.

A few ground rules about posting in this forum:

1) Models must be FINISHED. Complete. Done. Not-Works-In-Progress. You can decide what's finished, and we're not legislating quality here, but if you're still working on it, it goes in either Painting & Modeling or P&M Blogs. The Showcase is where you show off what you've completed and want to wow people with.

2) That means the base too. Some games/lines/types of dioramas might use unpainted/flocked bases, and if that's the case it will undoubtedly still look neat and clean and finished and we'll be able to tell by context. But for most wargaming models a completed model means a completed and nice base too.

3) This is a forum to actually show off pictures, so threads created here must contain at least one picture within the post itself. Simply posting a link to another site without including a picture in the post is not acceptable, and threads like that will be moved to the regular painting and modeling forum.

Better than my first model. I think a horde of these would be pretty stellar. Once that base is painted up, or just not purple like its skin, itll definitely start to look more clean.

So... theres 119 moar right?
